Warner Bros today announced that the premiere of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2 will take place in Trafalgar Square as well as its regular home in Leicester Square.

It will be the first red carpet movie event held in Trafalgar Square and one of the biggest film premieres seen in the capital.

Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson will head the cast members at the premiere on July 7 - watched by the world's assembled media and thousands of fans and competition winners.
The actors will walk the red carpet and conduct interviews in Trafalgar Square before making their way to a number of cinemas in Leicester Square to watch the film. The route has yet to be confirmed.

I hope they go all out with movie promotion here in the US like they going to do on the UK. I hope to God they do the final premiere in LA. These past 2 years stunk because they only stayed in NY, there's not much press they can do there. I felt a little cheated. Its nice that they come to NY because I live about 40 minutes away from NYC, but they have to miss out on the chance to do major LA talk shows, or events, or get noticed by the paparazzi... The OOTP premiere in LA was by far the BEST premiere they've ever done. So much press, so much TV footage... It was heaven. I wanna see Hollywood shut down because HP is in town.

This Is London est un site sérieux donc je pense que oui.

Hollywood shut down because of HP would be amazing! With the very last episode I'm sure it's going to be HUGE!

I don't think it will be in LA cause Dan's is in NY.

Dan's show is in NY.

But they've had 2 premieres in a row in NYC. Plus, Dan's going all the way to London, why can't he make it to LA for 2 days? I know they all have other stuff to do, but it's HP, they have to think of the fans, too. Hollywood is where all of the action is, not NYC. Someone should check the show schedule and see how many days he's taking off from the musical. He obviously has to take off atleast 2 for the London premiere. Any more days? If it's in NYC again, I've lost faith in the movie's and WB's promotion team. No offense, but they sometimes think like idiots, if you really look at how they promote HP around. They should be doing formal book signings at American malls, special fan meet and greets, ones where you don't need special tickets to get in. More things with the fans, you know? Then again, look at how many HP fans there are in the world, in the US alone... They'd be massacred.

Oh, crap. Dr.com said that he's only taking 2 days off from the show, and no more. They said it seems that he'll be back in NY by that Friday to do weekend shoes. Yet another year of crappy, "barely there" promotion.

The stars have used HP to get rich and famous, but now there's no more reason for them to stay and promote the films, they have their own lives and so can't be bothered. Pathetic.

Just saying but the promotion didn't even start yet, maybe people could wait before criticizing anyone.

Agreed. Can't wait for the posters though - bet they're going to be fab!
