The young TV star portrays Elena Gilbert aka Katherine Pierce on Vampire Diaries, but she is best known for role on the TV show Degrassi : The next Generation.
The role she will be playing, Candace, is the name given to Charlie(Logan Lerman)’s sister for the film version, because Nina's role cannot be found in the book. Not a lead role but a meaty one.

so emma's role is not a lead one? I never read perks. I read the reviews and it's a racy book.
