Will they post some still where they are not sitting or standing staring randomly with emotionless faces? PLease some action about the dance or something! I see no chemistry between her and Logen. I am so excited for Emma but as the time passes and more and more stills are relised I am getting disapointed. I can't see her as Sam now like I did at the beginig. She looks like Emma the pretty, always sober good girl nothing like the wild and lively Sam with the horrible past. I hope my opinion will change when we see the movie itself. Emma was great in MWWM she has the tallent to prove me wrong, I hope she will!

I kind of see your point, Anon. I wasn't really a fan of the book (boring IMO), but she doesn't look like she makes a good Sam. I apologize for opening the wound but she just looks like Hermoine holding a beer.

agreed... actually, I think Kaya Scodelario would make a perfect Sam. but Emma.. she's way to innocent, I think. anyway, let's wait for the movie before rushing to conclusions

Those who have saw it said she makes a great Sam and the movie is true to the book.

If it's true to the book then I think I'll give it a miss. Snorefest.

I think it may take a bit for some to truly see her as anything BUT Hermione since she played that character for 10 years. I had that moment with Marilyn where I thought, she is just Hermione in the 50s but by the end of the movie I was able to get past that. Instead of seeing Hermione, I was able to see Emma (BTW, definately worth a rental when MWWM goes to DVD) As for Perks, the only thing I really know about it is that it's a high school "finding yourself" film for Charlie so right now I have no real expectations. That's why I want to see the trailer. And remember, this is the same company who produced Twilight, so they are use to their lead female character working with an expressionless face lol. Sorry, couldn't resist!

Chris, it's way too wrong if you saw Emma in MWWM and not Lucy the wardrobe girl... It tells a lot about Emma's acting ability.

Yeah I don't see Hermione in there I only see Emma as I saw Emma not Hermione in the HP series too. But I love her and her character is very close to Hermione's so it didn't bothered me that much ( only all that pink and trendy clothes, and the perfectly curved blonde hair in HPB but it wasnt because of her)

I just hope she can play a character much more different from herself. She seems to be that kind of girl who wants to be perfect, a maximalist. To be very kind, polite, intlligent, pretty. And to portray a character like Sam she have to lose herself. I think it would do good to her if she played an evil bitch or an immoral prostitute because it would challange her and it would be out of her comfort zone. She could show how wide is her emotinal range.

@Anonymous 6:02 PM: I worded that wrong, I apologize. I was simply trying to say that by the end of MWWM I was able to look past the character that has defined her career. Don't get me wrong, she still has PLENTY to learn in this business, I was just trying to say that I no longer see her as just Hermione anymore, that's all. Hope that cleared up what I was trying to say and if not, let me know and I will try again. lol

few pics released and some people are saying that it would be wrong acting from Emma, i dont understand it, its only pics, nothing more nothing less. Wait for a trailer at least before judging. Sorry, I get upset when somebody have prejudices.

I was impressed with Emma in MWWM, she really surprised me. For a small role she gave the character a lot of depth and gave her a real personality. Lucy was likable and you felt for her. I saw her as Lucy and didn't see a hint of Hermione at all.
I think Emma can do well as Sam, the characters looks in Perks aren't really important, the author barely describes them, it's all about personality and you won't get an idea of that from a photo like this. But I don't see Hermione.

While I agree that she has a few things to learn when it comes to acting, I think it's a little unfair to judge her in the movie based on a few photos.

I think we should all see how she does when a trailer comes out, then give our own reviews of how she does.

i don't like to be kept waiting for the trailer.

Ya. I agree. In all these stills, well even when the casting choices were revealed, I didn't know whether to be happy or disappointed. I love Emma and I think she does have potential but I just can't picture her as someone as care-free, bold, and free-spirited as Sam in the book. I loved Perks so I really hope the movie won't ruin anything. From what news articles were released, it seems Emma and the rest of the cast really had a fantastic time filming. I just hope that means they did justice to the characters. I agree, Emma's way too innocent for this kind of role. Watson, prove me wrong girl!

It's wrong to judge her acting abilities by only seeing the pics. Plus, they should really release a trailer very soon. I'm getting impatient about it. :-)

But the still are supposed to get us excited but it didn't. Stills are supposed to give away some information about the movies like the trailer. What it is about, something about the atmospehere, about the characters. If we take that its about a few teenagers staring somewhere and doing random stuff. It should sell the movie but its doesn't. If Emma wasn't in it I wouldn't watch it, it seems bloody boring. Even Logan Lerman's photos about the cast was way better and told more than this stills. Sure, it could be a lovely film and Emma can be fantastic in it, but she can suck at it also. I am still waiting for her to prove me she can play characters that are nothing like herself. She seems like a very good human, and a fantastic rolemodel. I will love her even she sucks in Perks like all of her fans will. So let us express our opinion even if it negative because it doesn't mean we want her to fail. We want her to succed but we see the possibility of failing because she is a human like everybody else.

I just want to say that people from the three test screenings done the past few weeks said it was "extremely amazing"....people were doubled over laughing and cried a few times throughout the movie, just sayin'
