News in tweets for Emma Watson

Let's begin by the one from Emma herself:
Wrapped on the 'Bling Ring'!! Time to go home! Perks updates soon. : ) X
Then, coming from a girl who works at Red Light PR:
Day One at Red Light PR: Made gifts for Selma Hayek & Emma Watson. Helped two stylists pick out clothes for a magazine photo shoot.
Source: Twitter
From Red Light PR's site:
Red Light PR is a full service entertainment awareness firm, specializing in product placement, publicity, entertainment marketing, social media management and optimization, celebrity seeding, and brand consulting. The firm represents up-and-coming fashion designers and established corporations looking to increase brand awareness within the entertainment and fashion communities throughout the United States.
I'm not sure she's talking about Emma for the magazine photoshoot.

And last but not least, coming from a reporter:

Dish from the plane: I was sitting next to a gal who must be Emma Watson's agent or publicist.

The second we landed she immediately let Emma know: "Dustin Hoffman wants to meet with you.". Hmmm...interesting film project maybe?

The Red Light tweet is interesting since I could think of at least 6 different things that it could involve, but the Dustin Hoffman meeting is pretty awesome for Emma...maybe that has something to do with Voices

Eden said...

I hadn't thought about that, but yeah, Hoffman's name appeared in some places about YViMH. I can't remember if it was mentioned by sites or fans though.

Dustin Hoffman has a movie in pre production "Very Good Girls" with Dakota Fanning and Elisabeth Olsen maybe one of the girls has left the project? Haha, I'm not good at guessing!

Tia said...

"Dustin Hoffman wants to meet with you." Probably one of the most exciting sentences ever. I'm thrilled and so happy she's gone back home :-)

So the Bling Ring is done?..i thought Emma was supposed to go to Vegas...BTW,Emma and Dustin Hoffman already worked together in Tales of Desperaux!

Eden said...

I only said the movie will have shoots in Las Vegas, not that Emma would be part of it. There was nothing said about it.

Anonymous said...

Well could be everything with Dustin, but who knows if Emma will take it whatever it is, so I would say let's focus on other Things now...

CutiePie32 said...

So Emma must have finished filming before the 15th...she was at Coachella, then New york,Ohio...But as far as i could tell,Emma was done filming before her B-Day.That was fast!...and a quick couple of million dollars made too i'd bet.

Can someone explain what is "celebrity seeding"?

lory said...

i think that dustin hoffman tweet is not for YVIMH..but for a new project..

Anonymous said...

With Dustin Hoffman? The reporter's right, it could be an interesting film project.. :-)

Anonymous said...

This is still a rumor!

Do we actually know if the thing about Dustin Hoffman is true? I mean, did she know that was Emma's publicist, or was she just guessing? Did she say Emma Watson, or did she just say "Emma?" She could have been talking about Emma Stone.

It does make some sense, because Emma and Dustin did work together on Desperaux, but the tweet just seems too vague. I don't want to keep my hopes up, because I'd love to see a non-animated movie with Emma and Dustin.

Dustin Hoffman wants to film Song of Names this summer, but Emma will be filming Your Voic in my Head this summer. After that she wanted to be going back to Brown. She breaks off again she should forget the whole education business, because then it would start to become a farce.

Anonymous said...

The guy on the plane is apparently an entertainment journalist so at least that's a little more credible.

Anonymous said...

I think this is a bunch of baloney. The characters are listed for both films Song of names with Anthony Hopkins and Dustin hoffman. Hoffman will be directing Quartet, and it seems that the charcters are pretty much complete. It is about opera singers in a nursing home. And Good Girls is also fully staffed. And she doesn't need another coming of age story. Somehow this doesn't make any sense at all!

Anonymous said...

Who started this crap from a very unreliable source?

Eden said...

It's not crap. People are only discussing the possibilities, that's all.

Anonymous said...

Oh my god! Some people here are dying of jealousy , Be Calm! nothing confirmed yet! !

Thanks Eden for your updates =`) I love your site <3

Eden said...

Thanks a lot Anon :D

Anonymous said...

I hope it's true !!
could be anymore proud of Emma!

Anonymous said...

This is not jealousy. I just don't like things said just because somebody heard the name Emma and Dustin Hoffman. If she is in a movie with Dustin- Great- but personally I can#t imagine it- unless its Quartet with Maggie Smith and Michael Gambon, that is the film that Dustin Hoffman is directing. What role would Emma play in a nursing home unless she is a flash back of a opera singer or part of the nursing staff. It just seems improbable to me. Besides, Hoffman wants to shoot in the summer in UK, and Emma supposedly will be busy with YVimH then the end of September off to Brown. I'm just saying it sound highly improbable.

derek blasberg review of 'the perks of being a wallflower' http://www.mrblasberg.com/2012/04/28/my-completely-unsolicited-review-of-the-perks-of-being-a-wallflower/

Anonymous said...

As soon as I read that opening line of his review, "Before we even get to the film, I should say something: I adore Emma Watson," I knew the review wasn't going to be good for her.

I know he's giving his honest review of her performance in the movie, but if I were Emma, I'd be a little miffed with Mr. Blasberg. I'm very surprised that he criticized her performance in the movie like he did. He wasn't mean, he just gave his opinion, but you'd think, because of all they've done together, he'd just say she was very good and that's it.

Isn't that what celebs do? If they get asked about their friends movie, they always say "Oh, I thought it was wonderful. was brilliant in it," despite that fact that they probably hated the movie and their friend's performance. You rarely hear a celeb say, "Eh, it wasn't very good. He could have done better."

Hopefully the critics think she's good. Plenty of fans that have seen the movie think she did a great job.

I think when he mention "Before we even get to the film, I should say something: I adore Emma Watson," he just doesn't want to be bias. The fans knew that he's a good friend with emma, so he doesn't want the fans to assume that he is praising her because she's his friend.

I don't think he even criticised her, he did said that emma's performance is going to ruffle a few feathers.

CutiePie32 said...

"Ruffle a few feathers"=
means to change in an annoying way that may bother some people. In other words,i think he is referring to her american accent and bad girl attitude...i don't care,i'm going to see this movie as soon as it comes out just for Emma Watson!BTW,is Emma in London now?

Chris said...

I didn't think Derek was critical of her, he just said that it was a different kind of role for her, which is why I think he said the role would ruffle some people's feathers. It's the first role Emma has played where she isn't this innocent little girl, so there will be a slight shock factor. This is the third review I have read (2 critics and 1 from a focus group viewing) and all 3 said the same thing, that the film was moving, Emma did a good job, and that her American accent took a little time to adjust to because they weren't use to it. I'm not saying that all 3 are right, but initial reports are at least sounding positive about this film and her role in it.

CutiePie32 said...

Well let's see,in Perks she is an addict and and bit of a wild girl, and in the Bling Ring, she dresses like a slut.I'd say she has succsesfully broken the Herminoe image.i just hope she stays away from the "bad girl" stuff for awhile now.YVIMH should be just fine and as far as Beauty & the Beast, that should be nice & safe.

Anonymous said...

Obviously the "Bling Ring" shoot was a world of difference than that of spending months and months on one Harry Potter movie if she was done after a few weeks. It doesn't sound like we should be expecting anyone to open a Bling Ring Museum.

Anonymous said...

Nice and safe? Who should she take nice and safe roles for, you? Should she turn down scripts that really interest her and can help her because it's not "nice and safe" enough for you?

CutiePie32 said...

i do not want Holloywood to get the best of Emma Watson is all i'm saying.i'm not trying to control her.You need to chill and get off yout high horse......

snow said...

If actors and actresses only go for safe parts that would get boring real quick. It's important to get roles that push you and that you feel passionate about.
That said. She and Derek are friends so I'm sure she won't be mad. I would want my friends to be honest with me even though it might sting/hurt. It's important to not take it personal though and learn from it except of letting those critics stop you.
Teachers never liked my work in artschool, but I always pushed myself to do better and it paid off. My work is better now and my teachers respect me a lot for not giving up. I hope Emma does the same.

snow said...

I don't understand why everyone think he's talking bad about her though? Have I completely missed that part or...? Of course this part is going to shake some fans. Sam isn't like Hermione at all which is a good thing. Playing the same character doesn't teach you anything new at all.

I understand Cutie Pie and have similar concerns. I wouldn't want Emma to be type-cast into slutty girl roles. I'd like to see Emma in a variety of film because I really believe she has talent. I will watch the Bling Ring as a support to Emma, but I'm not thrilled about it. I am also looking forward to YVimH. That is a complex role with a lot of subconscious meaning. Emma Forrest brings it out so well on the page, I'd like to see Emma grasp her meaning in her character. The slutty girl roles are cheap, and anyone can play them. Some might see the female character in YVimH as a slutty role, but it is not. It is the tale of a young woman who has a painful understanding of love partly due to her rape and first sexual experience at 16 years. A very complex role. Anyone can pole-dance in a bar. I think TV and film show enough of this trash.
Don't think me old-fashioned! I am not! A feminist at heart. Women have done to themselves what society has dictated to them in the past. This could be a long essay, but an interesting topic. Anyone want to pursue it?

Anonymous said...

Roles don't have to be nice and safe, but also not bad. Slutty roles are rather ugly, unless they have a good story line.

Anonymous said...

Oh! so that is what Emma's publicist/ manager does when Emma's at school.

I thought the review was positive and I'm a little confused by some of the comments made... :)

Anonymous said...

the review is absolutely positive.Derek just meant that it is wierd to see emma do a rebel and to do an american accent BECAUSE she never done it before.what he meant was wierd in a good way

Anonymous said...

Is the Bling Ring already completed or is emma on a short break from the set?

Eden said...

Emma's scenes are over, but other actors still have scenes to film I think.

Anonymous said...

I read the review , he said good things about Emma in a positive way , . . I'm surprised from some reaction here against this review!

Anonymous said...

I think the review is a misunderstanding, which opened the lines to other topics, which are also interesting.
