Emma Watson to film The End of The World next week, and more

Hi Everyone,

We apologise there has been little activity on here lately. Hopefully over the coming months you will start to see news updates more frequently and also some of the sections within the website will be brought up to date.

Next week Emma will be filming her part in Seth Rogen's "The End of the World" - a film where all of the actors play themselves. Jay Baruchel, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson are also due to star in the film.

Also we’re sure followers of Emma on Twitter (@EmWatson) will remember that the MTV Awards will be held this coming weekend, where Emma will be presenting the first viewing of the trailer for “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” alongside co-stars Logan Lerman and Ezra Miller.

Emma is up for a few awards herself for ‘Best Female Performance’ and ‘Best On-Screen Kiss’ (with Rupert Grint for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2). Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is nominated as ‘Movie of the Year’, ‘Best Cast’, ‘Best Fight’ and ‘Best Male Performance’ for Daniel Radcliffe.

I figured filming would be soon, I just didn't know if it would have been this week before the MTV award show or after.

I'm looking more forward to seeing Emma in The End Of The World than in Your Voice In My Head. I love Emma, but I LOATHE depressing dramas. I'll watch it, but I'm sure I won't enjoy it as much as Perks or The Bling Ring.

Great update Eden. Great Blog. I can't wait to see Emma in her first films outside of HP. It was a wonderful time in HP, but the show must go on along another avenue.
Thanxs

I'm so excited for The Perks! I'll also be looking forward to Your Voice in My Head and The End of the World. I hope she does more amazing films.

"I'm looking more forward to seeing Emma in The End Of The World" I think you should be more excited for Bling Ring. Emma is just playing herself in End of the World and in a Cameo Scene. I think you should be like the Story and more Actors as well of EOTW to go and watch it.

"Emma is just playing herself..."

-For some reason, that's why I'm looking more forward to seeing her in that movie. I love Seth Rogan, he's hilarious. In EOTW, some celebs are going to live, some are going to die. I want to see what situation they're going to put Emma in. I want to to see if they're going to make an exaggerated version of herself (make her a diva like the Kardashians, maybe?) like Extras did with Daniel Radcliffe. I want to see if she's going to live or die, and how.

I am very excited for the story in Bling Ring and Perks, also. But, cameo or not, we've never seen Emma play herself in a movie, and she's never been in a comedy. I would love to see if she could pull it off.

This will certainly be interesting in and very different and lots of fun. She certainly has a sense of humor. I think that is what it means to play such a role. I think I read that Dan didn't want to play the role because they would have celebs laying dead on the streets of LA. Oh well. Let her live though Seth.

I tend to agree with both Anons above. The End of The World has the potential to be the most interesting of the post Potter movies that Emma is associated with so far.

Emma could be in quite a bit of the movie or it could be like 30 seconds. It is hard to tell at this point.

Basically everyone in the movie is doing a cameo. James Franco and Seth Rogan are playing themselves too, so maybe Emma is a substantial character. I guess we will sort of find out when she films the movie.

If it takes one day, then she might be in the movie only a minute or two. That would be disappointing.

If it takes a week or so, she may have a substantial part. This would be awesome but I am not all that hopeful. My guess it that role is very small, but who knows.

Anyway, the concept of the movie is a good idea... How celebrities will react to the Apocalypse. Something a bit different. Not a sequel or a remake.

Different indeed! Great! The remakes are getting boring. The only remake I'd like to see done is Gone with the Wind. Vivian Leigh and Clark Gable are no longer reachable for the young generation and margaret mitchell's story is such an american epic.

I wonder whether she will play herself or Hermione because she's mainly known as the "girl from Harry Potter" in the public eye, at least to grown-up adults.
