Emma Watson answers fan questions

Q8 - What advice would you give to your nine year old self?
Emma: I think I would have asked more questions of some of the amazing actors on the Potter films - Maggie Smith, Michael Gambon, Gary Oldman, Emma Thompson, Helena Bonham Carter, Kenneth Branagh - everyone - but I was only nine!

Q7 - What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you regarding fame?
Emma: My mum said to me very early on in my career, “Never give anyone information that you aren’t comfortable discussing at any time, anywhere and with anyone – once you open the door on a subject it’s very difficult to close it.” That is very true and I am a very private person. It's not always easy to follow but I try to keep it in mind. A film critic also once told me that acting was unlike any other in the entertainment industry – an actors job is to tell other people’s stories; to suspend an audiences disbelief and make them believe you are who you are portraying. That job is made almost impossible if your audience know too much about you, the actor, as a person. That has always stayed with me and the older I get the more I see the wisdom in it. However, as much as I might want to do that, I have to acknowledge that it’s not totally possible with the way my career turned out! People have watched me grow up and I think Harry Potter was more famous than I or I think anyone ever anticipated.

Q6 - What would Harry and Ron say about Hermione being in Perks?
Emma: Harry and Ron aren’t real people and I think that is confusing for people sometimes but I hope that Daniel and Rupert would like the film ! I am no longer playing the role of Hermione even though I love her dearly! I played her for so long of course it's going to be hard for people to detach me from her but I am Emma and an actress and I hope I have many different people's stories inside of me. If I am lucky Hermione will be just one of many female characters I will play during my career.

Q5 - Lucy in My Week with Marilyn was a small role – why haven’t you been taking lead roles recently?
Emma: The reason I hadn’t at that point taken on a full length part and had been doing some modelling work was because I did not have the time to dedicate to a lead role in a full length film as I have been studying for my degree. These smaller roles have also given me the time to learn a few different methods of film making. Smaller, more independent films sometimes allow more room for me to learn and grow.

Q4 - What sort of movie roles are you drawn to? Would you do another blockbuster franchise?
Emma: I am definitely staying away from blockbuster franchises for a while! In terms of the type of parts I am drawn to, I need to be interested in the role, and who I would be working with. The director’s vision is key. Sometimes what’s on the page isn’t always representative of what a piece can ultimately become and a great director can take a good script to another level and make it incredible.

[Q4 - Par quels sortes de rôles es-tu attirée? Referais-tu d'autres blockbusters?

Q3 - Are there any more fair trade collaborations on the horizon?
Emma: There has been a lot of speculation about my People Tree collections, with stories running that they 'failed' or that I was unhappy. This was really strange because I felt the opposite of this. From the two collections I did with People Tree overall sales were £446,000 which was a huge surprise. The collections generated work for 400 farmers, artisans and tailors! For me though, the most important part of the collaboration was that I was able to raise the profile of Fair Trade fashion which I think I did successfully. I visited Bangladesh to see the clothes being made and spoke with the factory workers first hand to understand what the real issues were so I would be able to talk about them in an informed and real way. In terms of other collaborations, I have decided I want to put all of my energy into my acting career but it was something I really enjoyed doing, learnt a lot from and am glad I did.

Q2 - Would you be interested in directing/producing?
Emma: Absolutely. I still have a lot to learn but I would definitely like to do something like this in the future.

[Q2 - Serais-tu intéressée par la réalisation/la production?
Emma : Absolument.

Q1 - What’s happening with Beauty and the Beast?
Emma: Guillermo del Toro, the director, has just finished editing his last film and is working on the script and pre-production for Beauty and the Beast.

Do you really think that's Emma answering the question?...if it is,that is awesome. But if it's not,i'm not asking anymore questions.

Anonymous said...

I think she might answer some herself, but I don't think this was Emma's answer. She probably has few people to help her.

Jo said...

Or she is alone, is taking way to long to answer questions, if she had a team it would be faster

Anna said...

I'm afraid it's just going to be PR, all this... Well, who dan blame her? Ofcourse this whole facebookpage is PR. Let's not get too excited!

coslopus said...

It would be cool if she actually answered these questions on Twitter. That way, we'd know it was really her answering them.

Then again, she might give her PR the password so they could answer for her. I guess we'll never really know. Still, it is cool to find out some new information on her upcoming projects, whether it's from her own mouth or a PR.

Anonymous said...

Holy shit Emma just answered my question about her interest in directing or producing...

Anna said...

Wow, this answer sounds much more personal than the first! I am excited now!

Anonymous said...

Jo is giving Emma the questions and Emma is answering them. Who cares if she isn't typing it in. She confirmed Beauty and the Beast. Enjoy it.

Unknown said...

Can not wait for Beauty and the Beast. <33

Chris said...

I think some will be typed by her PR and some by her, but I think every answer will legitimately come from her mouth at least.

Sorry if this question is stupid, but: i don't see it's confirmed that emma will be in it?

Perhaps just as important as the amount of money they made from the collab and the exposure, is the 400 jobs they created during a time of recession.

Anonymous said...

I think her answer to the third question is a load of crap. I mean, if it really was such a big succes, she would continue doing it cause it would be great for her career.

Anonymous said...

i don't know that it would be any greater for her career than actually acting and creating a career would be... perhaps what you should have emphasized was the fact that, good for her career or not, if successful it is clearly a highly morally good and beneficial thing for her to be doing. but i guess her priorities are what they are.

http://sleazzyweasley.tumblr.com/ Earlier, this extra on the set of End of the World posted a story and then deleted it. There was a scene the other day where Channing Tatum was only dressed in a thong and was being very raunchy, which made Emma uncomfortable and she left for a few minutes to gain her composure. When she came back and shot for a few minutes, Channing (already knowing that Emma was not comfortable with it) starting grinding on her in just the song and made her so uncomfortable that she apparently quit the shoot. On top of that Channing was apparently both drunk and high during the event. On Thursday during the shoot, Channing Tatum apparently was mocking and making fun of Emma. Since it was muddy, according to the extra on set, Channing made the joke that they were "stepping on the tears of Emma Watson." Channing Tatum is an a-hole!

Hey, Emma get a scar on her left hand lately... You know, people, it's just smth mystical... In a day when she got it, there was a sighting of her somewhere, and she still didn't had it, and there was another one sighting of her on a next day, already with the scar... Meaning, she get it near evening of the first day. In the very same day, you know, I was taking the bath(the same, in evening) and apparently slipped to the floor and teared my left arm in an absolutely same place where Emms did, after what I got the scar of the absolutely exact form as Emma's one!!! Same scar, same place on the same hand, same day, and God knows maybe the same time when Emma get it!!! OMFG!!! I don't care what in the world you'll think, or what a hell you'll say, but I tell you, with having the same interests with Emma and now this, I am 100% "connected" or "related" with her somehow...

how do we know Emma Watson is in New York?

Anonymous said...

If this is true of Channing Tatum then good for Emma that she stayed cool. Jealousy, even amongst celebrity, can get ugly. You're cool Emma! Let the low lifers lay!

Anonymous said...

I wish Emma would say something about how she will continue with school. She made it a fan info, so people would like to know. She could have stayed quiet all together and studied. Other stars did that without anyone knowing that they were doing so. Will she be returning to Brown or continuing with Oxford?

Anonymous said...

just wondering why some people care soo much for her education more than her acting and movies !!!!????

I think she is an actress not just a college student !!!

Anonymous said...

maybe a strange thing to say !! but I have a feeling that emma in NY for roberto's birthday , of course she has other things to do but I think this is one of them !.

:) hope photos will come ;)

Anonymous said...

A good education in history, world and english literature is the foundation of good acting. I do believe that Emma would basically agree with this statement. As a fan, I want Emma to be the best she can be. She shouldn't dismiss the good mind she has.

Anonymous said...

A good education is even important for the rich. If the rich and privileged no longer care about that, I see H.G. Wells TIME Machine coming reality. The Morlocks will sound the horn for the infantile privileged to be their fodder.

Anonymous said...

Interesting concept! It is true though stupidity can be dangerous. Did Wells have a vision of our time?

Anonymous said...

I could see Emma doing some directing in the future. If she wants to do that, I would agree with 10.35. Let's wait and see! But I would love to see her in writing and directing.

Anonymous said...

It seems that some of the HP members are working together again: Alan Rickman with Rupert Grint, Gary Oldman with Evanna Lynch: I think it would be swell if Emma and Bonnie brought out a film together since Bonnie has just begun her own production company.

Anonymous said...

Does anyone know if that is true with Channing Tatum? Shocking!

Anonymous said...

Anymore news on A Voice in my Head. I really do hope that Warner Brothers is still going ahead on this movie. But now she is going to be Noah it seems- which is great. It can hardly get any better for her.

Chris said...

@Anonymous 11:31, This person is playing an extra in the film and before she deleted her story, she also had a couple pictures of her and a few castmates up including the story. She still has one photo of her trying to get all the fake blood off after filming one night. If I re-call correctly she is playing a zombie and was actually in the scene that night with Emma and Channing along with Seth, James Franco, and a guy named Jay B... and I can't remember his last name. I do believe this story, otherwise I wouldn't have told it to you guy, I don't like to stir things up when not needed. You don't treat a human being like that, especially a woman whether you are Emma or Eden. And the fact that he was high (which is illegal in USA to begin with) and drunk while working onset, it just makes him an even bigger jerk in my eyes.

Anonymous said...

Why doesn't she want to answer question about her studies?

Anonymous said...

I agree with you Chris- just low class and low culture. Emma is too good for such a creep. What gives him the right to treat anyone like that. I hope he was fired, and if this is part of the story- flee Emma- that is the apocalypse.

Anonymous said...

Maybe she is still replanning. Since she left worchester college for Bling Ring, she most likely will have to finish her research. And now Noah is in the tub as new film for her, and I think this role is really a role that any actor or actress should take if offered, and then from Darren. She could finish the semester in October and head for brown in January. But she may be better off just finishing her degree at Oxford. She will be finished sooner.

Anonymous said...

Unis in USA- especially like Brown, Yale, Harvard are more demanding and longer- 4 to 5 years. You can get a BA in 3 years at Oxford. In USA a MA is 2 or three years. I also think she will be better off finishing her degree at Oxford with her busy schedule. But it is always good to finish what you have started, and Brown is intellectual prestige which also important in show biz.

Anonymous said...

USA schools are more demanding than European schools. I studied in England, Germany and USA and I can honestly say that my most demanding studies were in the USA and not Ivy league. But still the Noah role for Emma is awesome and a good role to consent to. I believe she will schedule her path that she will eventually finish her degree, but I wouldn't wonder if she is 25 by the time she gets her BA. Most people are working on their Phd then.

Emma must have bought an apartment in NY this weeks beacuse she was spotted at ABC Carpet & Home in NYC.That place sells rugs and she must be fixing up her new apartment before she moves in!!This is just a hunch but i could be right!!if this is true,i will have to visit New York like every 2 weeks!..i'm only an hour away!!

Anonymous said...

Emma in NY to visit Roberto Aguire ! it's soo obvious

Anonymous said...

There's no way that Channing Tatum story ever happened considering Tatum is not even part of the movie...

Anonymous said...

What Channing Tatum story? I googled it and I can't find anything on it. I read something about him being high on set, then Emma's name was mentioned. Is the rumor that he did something bad to Emma?

Anonymous said...

Someone on this post wrote what some extra on the set saw a few days ago involving Channing and Emma. I looked it up on IMDB and while Channing Tatum isn't listed in the cast, it was last updated before filming even began AND he's apparently good friends with Jonah Hill who probably got him in the movie.

CutiePie32 said...

If it happened,i can see why Emma would feel uncomfortable.ANy other girl would have probabley just played along and had fun w/ it but Emma is a lady of class. If it even happened which i hope not for Emma's sake

Anonymous said...

^ 'Class' would be to ignore it, not storm off.

Anonymous said...

^ Oh you mean that emma isn't 'classy' !! Really

Anonymous said...

No woman should have to just accept a gross man in front of her. Emma did the right thing.Emma has class. She was exerting her right to expression and not filling her min with someone elses sickness. If this is true, I have lost all respect for Channing- used to like him.

Anonymous said...

I hope the producers of the film fired him if this is true. And if they didn't, Emma should have enough class and say BYE BYE. Everyone would applaud her. Where are we coming to if women have to accept such smut!

Anonymous said...

Maybe that is the reason why she was alone in that lonely cafeteria in some pictures.

Anonymous said...

If this is true about Channing, he needs to see a shrink. But on a better note for Emma, she got the role in Noah as (Shem) Douglas Booth's wife (Ila. Now Booth is one handsome hunk. Now that will be a fine dish for her to look at in a pleasant way. I am so looking forward to this film now that Emma is in it. I am looking forward to seeing all the films she is in. I really hope though that YVimHead is not lost. Lynn

Anonymous said...

^ sorry your statement doesn't make any sense ! not relate to the subject at all !!

In general Emma's reaction is soo classy against that jerk !!
More respect to miss Watson <3

Wow emma watson doing very well after Harry Potter !! Amazing actress , looking forward to her next projects .

I interpreted 10:37 as saying that because of the Channing deal, emma was alone in the cafeteria. I wondered why she was sitting there all alone myself.

Anonymous said...

I really like the acting gigs she is getting. It seems all the HP kids are doing really well, especially emma and rupert. I am so happy for them. Can't wait for Perks and Bling- Noah will be awesome. When will Your Voice... happen now?

Anonymous said...

Is this really true with Channing Tatum. I wish someone would say something about this clearly.I always thought him as being pretty cool, but if he is so low, I lose all respect.

Anonymous said...

Certainly a gross man. Seeing him in a thong would be an insult for anyone. Sheesh what are we coming too! Grow up Channing if this is true!

Anonymous said...

Channing needs to have a Zebra mare shit on his shoes.

Anonymous said...

Poor Emma, how embarassing in front of everyone. I am really happy to read that many people don't accept such behavior. Channing needs to take a stand here: either apolocise in public or say it is not true. This is absolutely horrible. Isn't he married. He must be pretty frustrated in his thongs- kind of cold for those.

Anonymous said...

just read that emma is financially supporting the education of girls in africa form elementary to learning a trade. She does so much good. I just love that young woman. Emma will be alright. She will move on well.

Anonymous said...

At first I thought The End of the World would be a lot of fun, the way it was described, but if Channing is running around in thongs- no thanxs

CutiePie32 said...

Some men like women who have no class at all, fake, and are totally on the Beer drinking, slutty side.i prefer someone who is kind, sweet ,harmless, soft spoken, and beautiful. Not Hot or someone w/ big boobs.Channng tatum is the type that would go out with hot looking women. He has no idea what a "real women" is...if he did,he would have approached Emma with love.if it even happened which i can't beleive he'd do.

CutiePie32 said...

i have to say though that at the MTV awards,Emma definaltley lost weight. At least 5 lbs and maybe more.I've see so many pictures of her from last year to know that Emma's arms and legs were more Vo-LUP-chew-us last year, than at the MTV awards.(sorry, can't spell that word). You can see that Emma lost weight around the arms clearly. She look great still but i just hope its just temporary.i don't want a skinny Emma walking around,i want a healthy one.

Anonymous said...

I also thought that she lost some weight, but I still think it is for Your Voice in my Head, since Emma F. (the character) starved herself, was a bulimic and a self harmer. Otherwise, as you said Cutiepie, one would rather see a healthy emma. But I believe it is for the role.

Anonymous said...

It is hard to believe that Channing Tatum would do such a thing, but if one of the extras saw it, then something must have happened. And no one who could denounce the story have done so. But if the story is true, that is not the behavior of a good person, actually from a man any woman should avoid.

Anonymous said...

I wonder if they fired him for such behavior?

Anonymous said...

Eden. Are you going to update on Noah, supposedly emma got the rolel.

what piss me off are her fans and all this buzz around her " most promising" career post HP. she only takes teenager roles, work with teen stars or got very smal and supporting roles in adult fims. and some people thinks tha she'll win an Oscar for it! And all the rest of HP cast are going to fail.

I don't think her role in Noah is a lead role so it won't take her many days to film it.
(((I think she should stick to Hermione-like roles : British-British, earnest, this type of roles)))).
She's too young-looking and doesn't have the maturity to play grown-ups (Dakota Fanning is 4 years younger than her).

I wonder how old her character in "The Voice in your head" is.

June 09, 2012
-----------------------------------
they just being so maad and jealous of her great success and keep on insulting her as she can't act O_o !!!!

and that she is depending on her HP fame to get all these roles ! of course this is a reason but we can't ignore the fact that she is the most beloved among HP cast at many people around the world , so many many people would love to see any movie she has cast in , she is a lovely human being !

really sadly, they must be happy for her and supporting her as she was a part of HP !!!!!!!

CutiePie32 said...

Emma deserves everything she wants in life.Weather she's a great actress,i seriously doubt when compared to actors/actresses from past decades. But hey,who is a great actor/actress these days?..It seems to me as long as you have a name, you can make movies.Emma is just as good an actress as anyone in the business right now.But lets get one thing straight,actors/actresses today are NOT talented like they once were.Special effects stunk back then but the acting was good. Now we get all special effects,CGi,and bad acting.it's true.

Anonymous said...

^ That's true. I love Emma, but she's overhyped and isn't a good actress at all. She's very, very pretty though, so I don't mind seeing her on screen... but the better roles should go to the girls like Jennifer Lawrence, Mia Wasikowska, Carey Mulligan, Saoirse Ronan, the Fannings etc who are pretty AND CAN ACT.

Of course Emma can always improve! But right now she is nowhere near their level and should not be called a great talent just yet.

Anonymous said...

I live in Germany, and this young woman, even amongst adults is admired for her industry, and the German youth like her. A friend told me that a student did a oral report on fair trade and had painstakingly researched her work for People tree and fair trade. Supposedly it was a good oral report, which made young people want to know more about her apart from HP. German youth are looking forward to Perks, since this book along with The Road is required reading for grade 12 at some schools.
I don't think it is true that the women for Noah a re minor roles. They need some meat for 40 days and 40 nights on high sea, and women always give this meat. If you look biblically, the women were not exactely the innocents, but they completed the pairs for their species.
I believe Emma to be a developing actress. What she has done is very good, and she learns with each role. I think Your Voice in my Head will be the biggest challenge. If she understands her role well and delivers, she will be widely accepted as a good actress.
As a drama teacher I think it is incorrect to say that she can't act. In fact she has very good technique, which she is polishing. Bling Ring will also be revealing.
But to say she can't act is just not correct.

Anonymous said...

sorry my comment above for anonymous 10:12

Anonymous said...

she is amazing and talented actress !! so stop this bullish ststement 'she can't act' !!

Anonymous said...

I think it's normal to be jealous of emma watson and hate her cause she has a great life , lovely family , pretty face , charming personality ,intelligence , money , popularity and soo many lovers supporters !!

Anonymous said...

ok I would say something , if emma can't act as some of you state !! so why she keep casting in a great movies with a great directors !!!
if you say because she is a girl from HP , no you are wrong ! beleive me they wouldn't cast her in such these roles for that reason only !! they cast her because they beleive she will do a great job and she has a talent to justice a character .

Chris said...

@anonymous 10:21, well said, especially coming from a drama teacher. She's not the greatest ever and she doesn't suck. Emma is someone who has great potential but still has a lot to learn in this business...as does every actress her age whether their name is Stewart, Fanning, Lawrence, or Stone.

CutiePie32 said...

Again,Emma is a great actor in today's market but thats not saying much.Actors/actressess today are not that good.i'm not talking about Jenifer Aniston generations ,i'm talking people who were born in the 90's....THe trio from HP were great but i doubt they can be sucsessful beyond that. They have the name & thats why they are making movies to see if they can go further.Remember, the rich get richer while the poor get poorer.Emma is a great actor, but thats not saying much today.I think a lot of people can act that have no clue they could. You just need the wright role.

Anonymous said...

Time will tell. Of the HP trio, I consider Rupert Grint to be the most promising and Emma second. Dan he has taken a fast sprint, but the run already seems to be slowing down.
Darren Aronofsky cetainly does not need to hire Emma because she was popular in HP. He already collected Logan Lerman (who is a very excellent actor for his age-teen), ´Saiorce Ronan, who is an excellent teen actress and has already delivered an admirable piece of work. Douglas Booth is a newcomer but good. Then there are the excellent older generation with Russell Crowe and a younger than Russell, Jennifer Connelly. A director lik Darren does not need Emma for the popularity of his movies. Viewers already wait in awe regardless of the cast because he is just an excellent filmmaker. So if Darren hired Emma it is because he believes she can deliver. And by the way, the women in Noah's Ark will have a lot pull in the film- I'm sure.

Darren aronofsky I am sure will use the women and men well to tell a wonderful story. That director is full of surprises in his directing. I would not be surprised if he doesn't give us a classical Noah story. Notice the title is Noah not Noah's Ark.

Jennifer Lawrence is very good but Emma Watson is just as good. For the person criticising that she is only in teen films. She is young enough for those and so they are age appropriate. Noah is not a teen film neither is Your Voice in my Head.
I can with ease say, that the directing and producing world is watching Emma with much anticipation- and she is widely regarded as a talented and promising actress, who has much to offer. We in the producing and directing business do not hire an actress because they could bring in money. We rely on the talent to carry the film.
For those saying emma cannot act must be careful, because this statement is not true. She is developing more into a method actress.

Anonymous said...

I like what is objectively said about Emma's acting. She is not postered as the perfect actress but given the realistic room to develop. Does anyone know the status of A Voice in my Head

Anonymous said...

Last I heard they are still looking for a director. I guess you could say the Voices flight is grounded until they find a pilot.

Anonymous said...

I think she can't act either, but I'm still a fan... I just think she's a better model :)

Anonymous said...

Oh , I don't care of what you are saying about her acting ! I love this actress to death and would love to see all her next movies !!

Anonymous said...

Oh my good !! Can't wait for Perks , Bling Ring , Beauty and the Beast !!! and sooo excited for Your Voice in My Head , and Noah !!

Go EMMA you ROCKS darling ^_^

Anonymous said...

Her acting is ok sometimes, but most of the time not.

Anonymous said...

Emma is a good actress. Why do you insist on saying that she is not doing a good job in the area. And secondly, she is not real material for a model because she is too short.

Anonymous said...

^I don't believe she is a good actress either. She forces her lines and expressions. She has improved a lot though, and I'm sure she'll keep working at it, but she is not a natural. She'll still be getting work regardless.

Anonymous said...

huh I'm sure those haters will keep saying she can't act forever !! Lol

Shut up this nonsense please and go see and criticize other actressses !! Leave emma alone ! .

Anonymous said...

@ Anon above.

Your comments are nonsensical, lol! You need to stop expressing your opinions (rife with fallacy), and perhaps stop stalking/stanning Emma... it's creepy. Every time somebody expresses an opinion that doesn't smoke blow, stans complain. Sad.

Anonymous said...

I feel that most visitors of this blog are haters !! I don't get it , if you don't like her as an actress so why you keep following her ??!!!
everyone has his own opinion , if you think she isn't a great actress , ok fine !! it's up to you ! , but there others seeing her as a great actress .

Anonymous said...

Maybe most of the haters who follow this site are just shallow, pathetic individuals and only give a damn about her looks. They don't care how she acts or what kind of person Emma is, only how Emma looks in a skirt.

Anonymous said...

as david yates said emma is gifted (in many things)...she played hermione perfectly and that is THE main role she had till now and also based on many interviews i saw, she appears to be a very different or a more rounded person than the character she potrayed and that girl is always full of surprises.SO i would not be surprised if all the haters are turned into admirers in the near future coz EMMA has huge potential(which we havent seen yet)and she is a very smart hardworker..wherever she is she radiates positive energy and has amazing work ethic and got brains than the average showbiz people

Anonymous said...

so i think she will be hugely successful, remembered & admired for a very long time

Anonymous said...

Cannot act. Simple

Anonymous said...

So as the same dealing I will say :" Rupert grint can't act , Bonnie wright can't act and so on other kids from HP ,

This is my opinion , emma is the most successful among all of them .

Anonymous said...

I think Rupert Grint is an excellent and will develop his skill very quickely with new challenging roles, but Dan Radcliffe really can't act. He can do obnoxious things, but.... but....

Anonymous said...

In Perks Emma has shown very good emotional method as in method acting. We all love HP, but to be pasted to such a character for so long has been a hinderance for her to develop more deeply as an actress. Heromine was children'role and that is what she played until she was 20. But she taking wonderful steps to unpaste herself and win individuality in her acting. Rupert, that rough diamond, is developing wonderfully.

Anonymous said...

I was wondering if it is other celebrity voicing in this blog that emma can't act. There are certain traits that make this statement possible. A blogger cannot just make a statement that she can't act.

Anonymous said...

In the last HP where Ron and Emma kiss, Emma gives a little nervous laugh with the same innocent, nervous expression and she speaks with her face and eyes. That is a brillian piece of acting and technique and only for a minute. This girl has huge potential. Give her the right roles, and she will make it hers.

Anonymous said...

even if emma wins an oscar the same sad people will still be saying she can't act.

it has nothing to do with her performances. it's not an accident that most of the people screaming this are 1) female and 2) fans of either rupert or dan. they view their post-potter careers as a competition and hate the media attention emma receives.

Anonymous said...

The only way emma will win a oscar if she has a oscar style role. These roles are nothing special. Any actress could do them.

Anonymous said...

^ a robot could do them. She can act, just not well. Fact.

Anonymous said...

Emma is not getting major breath taking roles. Perks and Bling Bling. You guys serious? How does this mean she's Oscar or Bafta material if she gets these roles that anyone can do?

This has nothing to do with her acting. The roles are not there for her. Some of you are one forrt loop short of a happy meal to think any of these roles will win awards like this. They are both indie films. They are not noticed at either award show.

Anonymous said...

^ I think if she nailed her role in "Your Voice in My Head" perfectly , she will be worth for an Oscar , that film especially considered a challenge for emma ,

Wishing her all the best <3

Anonymous said...

^ She hasn't filmed that yet, and we don't know if it's going ahead.

Anonymous said...

^ yes I know that , just want to tell you that this role will be soo good for emma's career , other roles will be as improving for her acting .

Anonymous said...

If you don't think Emma can act or is a bad actress, then what is it about her that you do like and makes you come to this site? I mean, it makes about as much logic as being a fan of a figure skater who can't skate or a singer who can't sing.

Anonymous said...

She's more of a brand than an actress tbh

Anonymous said...

^ what O_o !!! Some respect please , or leave this blog , you aren't obliged to follow her if you don't like her , we are her fans love everything she does and think she is the best actress .

Anonymous said...

^ LOL

Anonymous said...

Look every successful person in this life has haters. !! and I personally consider that an evidence of success ! because when yor are nice person and doing good things in your life , there will be some people hate that ! .... and this is a case with emma ! although she is so lovely , she has haters ! I was soo shocked at first but then I understand that : )

"existence of haters meaning you are successful and influenced the people around "

So keep calm emma's fans and ignore what those losers keep saying all the time ; )

Anonymous said...

Any fans of cinema need to keep quiet and deal with this untalented, skilless girl destroying films. Of course.

Anonymous said...

Inspite of what anyone says, Emma is in for the ride. She is in demand. Her acting is good and sometimes better, but she will develop with experience. She has true talent though or directors would not bother. There are many actresses out there that are making successful movies, that are more beautiful and very talented, but directors want Emma, so they must see some talent.

CutiePie32 said...

Yea because director are talented also....Just because your a director doesn't mean anything...Movies suck nowadays. With the exception of a select few.

Anonymous said...

CutiePie, your comments are very dodgy and your true opinion is unclear. It seems you want to provoke with your comments rather than state something constructively that is enjoyable and helpful for anyone who is honestly interested in seeing Emma do well. Directors do know what they are doing.

Anonymous said...

I think celebrity themselves are writing nasty things about emma in this blog. why would anyone else?

CutiePie32 said...

i love Emma, but i'm not going to lie either..She's fine but nothing great as far as acting is concerned.See,i don't care about the actor,i care about the person.I'll watch anthing she makes.i mean,i went to see My week w/ marlin at the movies by myself for christ sakes.

Anonymous said...

But are you in the position to really judge her acting? You don't know enough about Emma to tell a lie or to tell the truth. You can only give an opinion, and hopefully that opinion has a foundation. You don't know her as a person to care about her. You have only experienced part of her acting. Either you are a fan of her acting and other artistic endeavors, but you don't know her as a person.

@anonymous 3:50 Give it up, 32/Lou is someone whose mindset can't be fully understood because he's all over the place and doesn't realize it. If Emma wasn't physically attractive I'd doubt he'd give a damn about her. When there use to be a chat box he would fill it up with what sexual acts he would want to do to her and vice versa, parts of her body he wonders are or might be fake (he just did it with her teeth the other day), and basically believes that Emma's not intelligent at all and just bought her way into Brown and Oxford. Hell, he even threw racial slurs at people who would question his logic. I will fully understand God's plan for all of us before I fully understand 32/Lou.

I think people who jump to Emma's defense are trying to protect their favourite actress. I agree that she has improved from her HP days, but it's still not very convincing. Why does Emma continue to get good roles regardless? Because she's a Harry Potter kid - HP has an extremely loyal fan base, the movie is guaranteed fan and press attention with one of the HP people behind it. People will be intrigued to see it. I think Dan (whose acting is probably worse than Emma's is coming undone quicker by this than Emma is - because he has picked very "far out" roles which require a lit of skill. Emma has played it much safer, picking roles That fit her age and experience, so it's less obvious, but in the more emotional scenes I find she tends to overact/let the mask slip. Doesn't mean I don't like her - she seems a nice person and come on, we can't expect someone plucked from obscurity and who hasn't been properly trained to be Oscar worthy now, but there's hope - she needs io pick grittier roles to ba able to tell. 'Voice' seems to be that movie, but if it doesn't go ahead we won't know. I'm saying we need to be realistic about her skills, we can't say she's a great actress just because of some unwarranted sense of loyalty.

Anonymous said...

^ Personally I don't care if emma will win an Oscar or not , not matter actually , all what I care about is that she doing very well after HP by choice different and interesting roles , which I'm soo excited for !! ,, really good for her that she keeps getting great roles and work with great directors ,!! ,,

Anonymous said...

Interesting roles I think not. What grabs you about them?

Anonymous said...

I agree with you anon 12:49, but I also think that Emma will improve in the process of taking age-appropriate roles, resuming classes in acting and working with different directors who guide her honestly. I believe Your Voice... will be that movie that reveals if Emma has the acting chops for quality movies in the long haul.
I also think being in a franchise too long, playing the same character for a decade is also a stalemate, eventhough these roles make you rich. There are actors who will not accept long franchise roles which don't give them room for much else.

Anonymous said...

Not all the people that won oscars are necessary the best actors and actresses. Meryl streeep though deserves every Oscar she gets- now that is quality acting and intelligence. Dakota Fanning and Saoirce Ronan are excellent actresses for their tender years. I think Emma should finish a high quality education and eventually go into directing.

Anonymous said...

And you need to get a life and stop visitong fansites from actresses you hate. Of course.

What's Emma doing with her foot in the picture?Looks like she's taking her shoe off.Sexy!

These questions and answers are all coming from Emma's official webpage, emmawatson.com so yes Emma is providing all of the answers, I have no doubt.

CutiePie32 said...

She may have posted the last one.But the rest seem to be from another person or someone who knows her very very well

Cutiepie, the answers are what Emma said to Jo or has typed out, that's why some are formal etc because they were in the style of an interview and what she said to someone, that's why it's a different tone to twitter. Its all answers from Emma herself.

And for the most part, she has done a pretty good job seperating her personal life from her professional life.
