OMG! That's so precious!

If it wasn't for the long sleeve shirt I would have thought that was from yesterday. It's gotta be a little awkward for Emma (judging by the crossed arms), I mean, she's just trying to buy a dinette set lol

IKEA? I wonder how the NY apartment is going to fare when Emma goes back to Brown in the fall. According to reports, Will is from Boston which is very close to New York and Providence, so I'd imagine they'd *ehem, meet up...

Anonymous said...

There are so many variables and possibilities between now and then. I love the striped shirt but long sleeves on a hot day doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Coslopus said...

Ikea? Their furniture isn't exactly the sturdiest furniture on the market. I hope she's just getting a dinette set from them.

The pic is really cute. I wonder what part of NYC she's staying in.

...I don't like the idea of Emma in NYC, or just in America, period. Not that there's anything wrong with America; it's just that she was always our English Rose. Oh well. Things change, I guess. Hope she has a nice time...

@anonymous 2:21 I forgive you, cause I'm an American and I don't want to live here lol

well, New York is much cooler than LA, I'm American and I would live there if I could afford it! But I think she wants a home in both London and NYC, I doubt she's leaving England completely, after all, her friends and family are all there, and it appears she is quite close to them

"I doubt she's leaving England completely, after all, her friends and family are all there, and it appears she is quite close to them "

I think so too. I don't think she will ever leave UK. I can see her living NY and UK, but more UK. Emma is a Family Person and knows how important Friendship is in her Case and not to forget UK is her Home.

@Chris
Ahaha, thank you. I have nothing whatsoever against America and Americans, I'm British and currently spending my last year in Miami, it's just...I can't even begin to imagine Emma in NYC...

Anonymous said...

"...I can't even begin to imagine Emma in NYC..."

maybe she doesn't want to be in the UK for the Olympics.. possibly.

maybe she thinks things are too hectic and crowded in London this summer...

then again maybe she is not going back to school this fall. emma has a little momentum going with her acting career. no great roles so far but she is meeting some of the right people and getting some experience post Potter...

there will be a major sh*t storm if emma does not go back to college in the fall.. but you know what? who cares! go for it emma! focus entirely on your acting career. you can finish your degree later.

Anonymous said...

She can certainly afford to live in New York. Maybe she'll want to try her hand on Broadway.

Anonymous said...

She's MOVING to NY? Like permenantly or will it be like a holiday home? Wouldn't be surprised if after moving there she transferred her Brown credits to NYU Gallitan and lived in her new place with her boyfriend.

Anonymous said...

I bet 100 bucks she won't be returning to Brown!

Anonymous said...

You know, actually, I would fully understand WHY she would get a lot of shit for not continuing with Uni. Sorry, but I would give it out too, no matter how much I love her. For years on end, she would preach about how she couldn't take other jobs, or oppertunities because she was at school. She would firmly insist that her education came first. And it's not like she did it just for show either, the all A's on her GSCE and A levels prove her intelligence. I would loose SO much respect for her if she were to not return to university, after everything she's said and done.

Anonymous said...

You would lose respect for her haha? That makes sense considering every college age person knows EXACTLY what they want to do with their life and NEVER change their minds...Emma is just a regular person like anyone else. Most people college age switch up their major or decide to take a different path without anyone losing respect for them. She has that right...

Anonymous said...

^ Yes she has that right, which is why it doesn't matter what I say, she could do whatever. But I would be shocked, and yes, I would loose respect for her- to say the least. I doubt she would quit, though.

Anonymous said...

"I would loose SO much respect for her if she were to not return to university, after everything she's said and done."

emma said in the fair trade question .... "I have decided I want to put all of my energy into my acting career". there is nothing wrong with that! she has worked hard on her education since she was like 5 years old. even after she was picked to play hermione she still worked hard in school, even though she didn't really have to. rupert hated school, dan was somewhere in between emma and rupert concerning education. emma likes learning and the school environment, that's fine, but go for it girl! you look slim and hot like a hollywood actress right now. do more movies! get more acting experience! you could get another major role in the next year or two. something big like katniss or lisbeth. don't take if for granted emma that the roles will there when you want them. i doesn't usually work that way in the movie business. things change fast. carpe diem!

Anonymous said...

Emma wouldn't want another role like katniss, she answered another question about what draws her to roles and if she would ever do a blockbuster and the very first sentence was about how she wants to stay away from blockbusters for a while.

Anonymous said...

"... stay away from blockbusters for a while."

yes, she said that. but how long is "for a while"? i am just saying she is getting some small roles right now and learning more how movies are made outside the protective bubble of the Potter set. i think she should keep the momentum going an not go back to school this fall if she movie offers. if she evolves as an actress, in a few years she might get lucky and score some big role in another major franchise. if she doesn't put the effort in, then she will most likely fade away gradually. that's all i am saying. she should go for it now!

Anonymous said...

well, a girl can change her mind. i could imagine getting a shit storm from my parents or something if i dropped out of college, but she would be giving up college for something obviously very important to her and something she is already successful at. i don't think any parent or friend would begrudge her that, and nor, then, should her fans.

Anonymous said...

The only issue about her leaving college is that she has spoken *SO* much about it, that it was so important to her. Most other actors just do their degree without talking about it, but so much of Emma is about her intelligence that she kind of needs to do it.

Anonymous said...

Sorry but some people here really annoying me !! they care soo much for her school more than her new projects !! ..
I think she is an actress , and she must focus in her acting career cause she has received many offers , she need more experience in acting and try all sorts of roles to be brilliant actress ,,,,
she can complete her study any time ,
that's my own opinion

.....and I'm soo proud for her right now and soo happy that she getting great chances to work with great directors ,,, wishing her all the best !..

Anonymous said...

I think everyone is exposed to change his mind according to the change of circumstances ..!

Anonymous said...

Seriously. She's a real person...I'm sure all of you do exactly what you say and never change your mind or goals. It's not like she'd be leaving school to become a stripper or smoke pot all day. I bet most of the people judging her couldn't even dream of being accepted to Brown or even a school half as prestigious. Get lives haters!

Anonymous said...

^ yeah , you are right ! ..I think emma must leaving all her next projects ! and go back to school ! So some people would be happy !! huh

Anonymous said...

I completely agree with Anon. at 6/15/2012 04:25:00 AM.

Emma really REALLY put Warner Brothers through the ringer back in 2009 when she negotiated with them to reschedule the filming for Deathly Hallows. They even gave her a bonus in her salary, which I found weird being that she was quoted saying many times that she wasn't doing the films for the money. I don't know why she would accept a bonus if all she really wanted to do was reschedule. Anyway, 200 cast members and however many crew members had essentially re-arrange their lives because Miss Emma Watson wanted to go to university. Back then, I thought it was pretty brave of her to put her education first and I was proud. Now I just see it as diva-like, because she is now putting her acting first. I mean, I know we can't blame her for changing her ambitions. I'm sure when she first decided to go to university it was truly important to her. And now things are different. But if I was her I don't think I would feel okay with putting my education on the back burner. She has always said in public that education comes first so I am really disappointed that doesn't seem to be how she feels anymore. I realize she is going for the acting while the good opportunities are about. But there was something so lovely and dignified about Emma's dedication to academics. And now she left Oxford to play a hollywood wanna-be thieve? I find that sooo uncool. I am more looking forward to movies she is in that actually mean something to people, like Perks. I don't want her to become like every other Hollywood star and I see that happening. I wish I knew her personally because I'm sure if I did I would have a totally different perspective on all of this. We can only make judgements of her without knowing all the details about her personal life; so in a way, it is not fair to her. I feel very conflicted about all of this. I also think she's better off staying in England. I don't want her to become Americanized!

Anonymous said...

I just love her and hope she enjoying her time in NYC , she can live in both London and NY , and I think she is mature enough to decide what the best for her , so no one has the right to judge her decisions and control her life !!

Anonymous said...

I feel she will defer but still try to get her degree but it's a pity she doesn't want to live the college experience to the fullest. Even if she gets her degree later it won't be the same as doing it normally because it would be diluted.
College at a normal age is something unique and more rewarding than any high-profile movie project.
I bet her time in Brown and Oxford weren't compelling if she feels the need to defer her studies like that.

Anonymous said...

^ Yeah, sometimes I think she doesn't enjoy university. If she's distracted by work or other student treating her weirdly, then maybe its better for her if she doesn't go back.
It shouldnt be a negative environment for her - she needs to be happy there. She's left twice already, so its not compelling enough for her. She could always do online courses while working.

Anonymous said...

You know what annoys me about how journalists talk about Emma and university in articles - the way they behave as though she's the only student who works outside of studying. Firstly, she does nothing aside from press and publicity while at university. Secondly, most students at top tier universities are there on financial aid and work at least one job while studying.

Its not a big deal.

Anonymous said...

Why do people always think they have the right to comment or make judgements about other people's lives?
The fact is we don't know what's going on behind the scenes. We don't know what's motivating her. Whatever Emma wants to do I'll support her 100%.
Some people say they'll lose respect for her if she moves to America or chooses acting over college or vice versa. No matter what she does they'll always be someone who doesn't approve.
Well, guess what? This may come as a surprise to you, but Emma does not need to consult you about where and when she goes to school, what film roles she takes on or where she chooses to make her home. You don't get a say and it's none of your business.
Personally, I am excited about all of Emma's upcoming films. I think Bling Ring has a very important message about materialism and the hollow pursuit of fame. A movie worthy of taking time off college to do.
Keep going Emma, follow your own instincts and you won't go far wrong!

Anonymous said...

She needs to stop shaping a particular image and saying she intends on doing something, because she never ends up doing it. Why discuss mere intentions publically? Why not simply surprise your audience? That sounds like the intelligent option

Anonymous said...

I agree with the above. That way people would have less to comment and disapprove of. Although she's still probably going to get criticized no matter what she does.

Don't think she's moving to NY just because she bought an apartment, she seems to be in NY a lot and will use it as a base for when she's there or if she's working from there. Tonnes of major actors have places in London, NY and LA as they're the big hubs for projects.
She can study at her pace, doesn't mean she's not committed, she'll just spread it over time. Also don't get why people are angry on behalf of Warner Bros, it's Warner Broa who are backing Your Voice in My Head and Beauty, I think they'd rather that she kept making them lots of money!!

Anonymous said...

I would think that Emma has to finish a semester at oxford first. I rather thought that she would do either Voice.. and Noah, or only one of them and then go to Oxford for the semester, then go to Brown in January. Or she is moving her studies completely to Columbia U or NYU, or Barnard College or something. I agree though that she has shaped an image for us to be interested in her college intentions: the intelligent actress. But now she has to get her degree, or people will kind of flick her off as fake and not pulling through. I think she will finish college. The college experience is far too precious for the way she is doing it. I no longer consider her a serious student, nor a serious actress as yet, although I think she can be good in time. She needs to go back to college consistantly though. She is beginning to turn her fans off. People don't like to be fed an image and then that image turns out to be a haze.

Hazel

(I apologise if this minute is double because my google account is a litte bit weird).
I think Emma won't let her home in London. It's a serial house close by her father's.
It's very practical for Emma because her garden connects with the garden of her father's.
So she can enter her father's home and go across the garden to her home without bothered
by paparazzi.

I'm really sick of people judging Emma so much. The truth is, we don't know all the details to Emma's life so therefore we have no right to judge her for her actions. If you're going to be a fan of her's, then be a fan and support her. As for people saying she shouldn't discuss her "intentions" during interviews as to not get people disappointed if she doesn't follow through...What else is she going to talk about in interviews if not what she wants to do with her life. She shouldn't weed out things to say based on the criticism she may get from it. There will always be criticism. And to the anon who said "I don't want her to become Americanized!"...I find that offensive. Not all of America/Americans are bad. I'm sick of people ragging on us due to general negative American stereotypes.

Anonymous said...

^ well said Amanda , and I completely agree with anonymous 11:42 ,, you express my thoughts of what going here !!
go emma we will support you forever darling <3 .

Bottom line is, really; Emma shaped herself up to be hard working, dilligent, a fantastic and dedicated student, ENGLISH and then a good actress. Everything she's doing now, is warping that image. I still love her, years of admiration don't just fade because there's a hitch in the road, so don't all of you start bitching at me because I shared an opinion. That's what the comments section is for. If I loved everything Emma did and agreed with everything, I wouldn't be a fan, I'd be obsessed, and I think that's pretty horrible. But the fact is; if she were to leave school, she'd disappoint me. And yes, I know she doesn't need me to care, I know my opinion doesn't matter, whatever those of you who are obssessed are going to say. But I've had this girl as my role model since I was ten. It really would break my heart to see her go back on everything she used to make good on. Sorry if that doesn't agree with the rest of you. (BTW, I'm Anon 4:25:00 AM)

Listen evrybody, when your rich & famous ,school can go fuck itself.Trust me,i've seen Emma on campus, she's bored out of her mind. When your a hollywood star,it's a high and you love the attention and i think Emma realized this during Brown. She'll finish school but gradually at her own pace.I'd say she'll be done by 25 yrs.old

Anonymous said...

Simply the people who complain about emma's school aren't truly fans ! ,, they want her to leave the great chances she has and stick to hermoine image forever !!!!

i'm off today.Thinking about heading up to NYC to see if i can find Emma....i think i should go to Lexington AVE on the upper east side.lol(not kidding)

Anonymous said...

that's the spot where she was rumored to be buying a flat right? I'm thinking she did since its listed as closed now :)

CutiePie32 said...

Where is that list thats says its closed?

Anonymous said...

There's no reason to be cursing CutiePie32, not everyone on here are adults. And it's kind of creepy if you are actually going to sit outside her apartment until you see her. It's one thing if you're walking around and come across her, it's rather stalkerish to have a stake-out.

CutiePie32 said...

never said i was waiting for her at her apartment.Just walking around.Stop putting words in my mouth

You might want to turn around Lou if she apparently left for England today, although it is the weekend and NYC would probably be a cool place to hang out...expensive most likely but probably cool.

Is it IKEA? :)

An education is important for every walk of life. It is offensive to be rich, famous and stupid. If you don't have much talent and struggle, but if you don't use your talent to be the best you can be in life is offensive and grotesque, because that individual is never developing their potential and personality. Emma needs to finish college to develop her talent fully. There is nothing worse (in the celebrity world) duh than a stupid actress and actor who every second word is f...k and dude, cool and hot, duh.
