Emma Watson and her mom in East Hampton - 31 July

Emma was also seen reading The Alchemist while sunbathing in her underwear the same day, but I won't post these. If you want to see them, just follow the link.

Now she looks normal not-that-skinny size. What is up with her weight fluctuations. It changes every hour. :P
Aww would have even been cuter if they had the same haircut. But older women do look good in pixie cuts imo.

Good Thinking Eden! I wouldn't post these either. You can really think these were taken from a pervert Paparazzi

That top and shades look really cool on her :)

Wow, her mother really looks like my mother. Her mother REALLY looks like Daniel Radcliffe's mother. I'd swear they were twins. Emma does look good though. I know she's a celeb and should be used to paparazzi, but I feel bad for her. She wants to spend some quality time with her mother, and she has paparazzi snapping away.

Also, do you notice that when she was doing Harry Potter, her father used to travel around the world with her. Now, her mum does it. It's so sweet.

Another note: For the life of me (before my first comment), I couldn't think why you wouldn't post the pics of her reading. I thought they were the same as the ones posted a few days ago. Now I see why...

She has to be careful! I wrong move and BADABOOMBA! The whole world gets a view (more than the one we have, anyway). I agree, good call not posting them. If people wanna see them, just let them go to the site.

echee is gonna love these...i feel sorry for her

I do enjoy seeing her relax in the sun, I must say.
Her hair is getting longer.

she and her mom are so cute! i almost didn't recognize her mom though, it must be the hair?

I'm really glad to see that you didn't post them, that photographer well crossed the line there of decency and violated her privacy. It is nice to see though, that her and her are able to enjoy some time together.

I'm glad as well that you didn't post them. It is one thing to be papped on the street, which is annoying for Emma, but it is to be expected. A paparazzo sneaking in the bushes, photographing her sunbathing (almost topless) at a private vacation house--that is completely creepy and if I were Emma, I would be very upset that these came out.

It doesn't seem like she planned her wardrobe for a beach environment with her improvised 'bikini' wear.

Chris said...

She was on her own private balcony on what is most likely on the second or even third floor which gives her more privacy. I don't think she figured a cameraman was going to climb up to reach her height to spy on her like a rapist studying his prey. Every "fansite" that posts those pictures make me even angrier because it shows absolutely no respect for the person. I can't blame a fan for wanting to take a picture of her on a beach or on the street, but this guy climbed up to her height to spy on her. It's not as bad as her 18th birthday, but it's one of the worst!

I don't think her weight is fluctuating, I think it's just different angles of photography that sometimes makes her look either thinner or bigger!

Chris,

If this is 'Main Beach' than it is only 2 floors and I do not think this is a private balcony. It looks like the middle part of the second floor. This is very visible from the beach.

I'd take the bags from my mom...

Anonymous said...

She can't take the bags from her mum. She's eating ice-cream.

Anyway, I'm sure her mum is more than capable of holding her own bags, she's not an invalid.

Chris,

...Also, with it being the middle of summer, there should have been a lot of people on that beach that saw her. :)

@sparkvark111

Thank you for the correction on the location but that still doesn't change my anger nor my feelings on the photographer's stalker like photos. Especially since several of those photos appear to be at level height and there is only one balcony at Main Beach. He had to have been pretty far away to get photos that show that much, especially since several of those shots were of her either on her back or stomach which means during those photos she wasn't that exposed to the public. That absolutely creeps me out. To me that means he had to spend a lot of time to get just the right angle's for those shots which only enhances the disgustingness for me. Nor does it change my feelings on any site who posts them thinking it's okay. To me it says a lot about people who ethically and morally have no qualms about it, and yet would be furious if that was their mother, baby sister, or themselves.

Ha, is it bad form that these photos kind of remind me of whenever me and my mother go out with her carrying majority, if not all, of the bags and me just munching on something? haha anyway, I do like her top a lot.

Anonymous said...

haha, yeah, whenever I go shopping and look even a little bit tired, my mom insists on carrying all my bags, even when it isn't a problem for me :)

Anonymous said...

Mom doesn't have to be disabled or incapable of carrying bags top get help from her kid:)

Anonymous said...

As usual some people try to criticise her for nothing worth !

Really it doesn't matter whether she or her mother carrying the bags , grow up people

Anonymous said...

If I was eating something and there were only two bags, mom would carry them. Also I sometimes try to carry bags for her and she won't let me... If there were loads of bags maybe, there are only couple here tho.

Anonymous said...

She's not holding bags because she's eating an ice cream, duh...

in one of those pictures she looks like she is crying when her mom was talking to her.

sparkvark111 said...

Chris,

I am not trying to minimize disgust or apologize for the photographers, but she did expose herself a little even though she was trying to be discreet about it by laying low on the second floor. However, the platform is only on the second level and is only surrounded with a fenced wooded railing that you could see through and the pictures were not taken on at the same level, the camera was clearly angled upward. In other words, they did not have to go out of their way to get the pictures. All they had to do was to stand at the end of the building and take the pictures with a long lens, nothing special. If you are out in public, you are fair game; whether you or I think it’s ethical or not.

She looks upset in these photos. If you zoom in you can see it looks like she's having an argument with her mom. I know what I look like when I'm about to cry or I am crying, and that is how she looks in the 4th and 5th pictures. Even though I like seeing stuff like this because it reminds me her life isn't perfect; I feel guilty for even looking at them. It's like an invasion of her privacy. Obviously she was having difficulty in this moment and here are the freaking paparazzi flashing away. I feel bad that she has to deal with that. It's hard enough being upset when no one is around to see that you are.. Never mind having the world know.

I'll never understand this need to always find a reason to pity Emma. It's not because she's not smiling and that she's making a weird face on a picture that she's crying/sad/tired/angry/upset...

And about the bags, Anon only said he/she'd take the bags, he/she didn't insult Emma or anyone in anyway, so no need to make a big fuss about it, it was just a random comment.

So what you are saying, is if your own mother decided to strip down to her panties and a see thru scarf, on a balcony that is on the second floor of a building, in which your own mother is lying on her stomach and back, and a complete stranger that she has never met is taking pictures of your mother in just her panties and a see thru scarf and decided to post your mother's pictures to the world. Are you telling me that you would look your own mother in the eye and tell her that it's her fault and that she brought it on herself?

sparkvark111 said...

Eden, you are not the only one with that feels this way. :)

We are not seeing her expressions or hearing the conversation in-person or video, so you lose all context of which those expression were made and are just reading into a fixed expression frozen-in-time. Unless you are posing for a picture, your expressions will be all over the place as you see with random paparazzi pictures. I do not know why anyone would expect Emma or anyone else to smile 24/7 for what are randomly taken pictures.

sparkvark111 said...

Chris,

You are absolutely entitled to your opinion or how you feel about Emma. I was just explaining, from a technical standpoint, that those pictures could be taken without special circumstance. I know the way it sounds, but I was stating fact and not assigning blame on anyone. Emma can dress any way she wants, as long as it is within the constraints of the decency laws or rules of the establishment. As I said, it does not matter how you or I feel, they took the pictures cause they could and she dress that way cause she did. She is a public figure and she falls under a slightly different set of rules then of private citizen until she chooses to change her status or the media thinks she is not worth chasing.

I understand the fuzz about the beach pictures; but I must admit that I went to the site to see them.
And I think we all did it.
So we are just as bad... just curious fans.

I do think that people like Emma are aware of the possibility of paparazzi hanging around their houses. It's not nice, but it's a part of fame.

And Emma does have enough money to buy a extra bikini, if she doesn't want to expose herself. :)

Smiley said...

Personally don't see the difference between bikini and underwear. Erm, don't they both cover the same bits (unless wet of course) but she didn't go near the water at all.

Plus, in a public place like that there's always the risk of being photographed. Didn't she once say that she ran from the bathroom to her room wearing nothing but a towel when she was living in halls at Brown and was surprised she didn't get photographed? So she knows the risks and takes them anyway. No biggie.

Maybe her mom doesn't agree with her deferring again. Herself being a lawyer, I would assume that she takes education very serious.

I have noticed though, we have not seen pictures of emma and her brother alex of recent- since HP. Those were always nice pictures.

In the pictures you can clearly see the book she's reading, you should add it to the page "favorites" !

Anonymous said...

Really Tais! Which book is she reading?

Isn't it a kind of towel tank top. I think the picture looked nice. The guy next to her didn't seem to think anything unusual was going on beside im when she had that blue towel bikini or tank top on. No big deal. That girl is beautiful in any pose. She reminds me of a young grace kelly, eventhough she looks different from her, but she has her mysteriousness, poise and class. I am glad to see that Emma is not the run of the mill celebrity. Too many of them let it all hang it out. A bit is more!
