Emma Watson in Iceland [Week 1]

Please, if someone from Iceland happens to come here and has some free time, could he/she translate the articles?

Emma arrived in Iceland the 3rd of this month for the filming of 'Noah' with Russell Crowe, Logan Lerman, Douglas Booth... Some fans (or random people) were lucky enough to meet her:

„Það var frekar epískt að selja Emmu Watson bíómiða," segir Hildur Ólafsdóttir afgreiðslustúlka í Háskólabíó sem afgreiddi stórstjörnuna þegar hún kom að horfa á kvikmyndina To Rome with Love klukkan hálf sex í dag.

Emma sagði í viðtali við Stylelist í fyrra að mexíkóskur matur væri í mestu uppáhaldi hjá sér og hún borðaði alltaf á La Esquina þegar hún væri stödd í New York. Það er spurning hvort taílenskur matur komist á vinsældalistann hjá henni og hvort hún eigi eftir að segja í viðtölum að hún borði alltaf á Ban Thai þegar hún er á Íslandi.
Leikkonan kom þó ekki óvænt inn á staðinn því vinir hennar tveir, sem voru með henni í gærkvöldi, voru búnir að koma á staðinn nokkrum dögum áður til að prufukeyra hann. Það ber ekki mikið á Ban Thai að utan en hann stendur fyrir ofan Hlemm. Staðurinn á þó marga dygga aðdáendur því maturinn á staðnum er sérstaklega ljúffengur og á frábæru verði. Staðurinn fær góða tóma á Tripadvisor.com.

Emma Watson gistir á 101
Unga Harry Potter-leikkonan Emma Watson er stödd hérlendis vegna kvikmyndarinnar Noah þar sem hún leikur meðal annars á móti Russell Crowe. Hún gistir á 101 hóteli sem er í eigu Ingibjargar Pálmadóttur sem var sjálf í afgreiðslunni seinnipartinn í gær. mbl.is sagði frá því í gærkvöldi að Emma Watson hefði farið í bíó í gærkvöldi og ekki skilið neitt í Woody Allen-myndinni sem væri að hluta til á ítölsku með íslenskum texta.
Ungfrú Watson kom inn á 101 hótel rétt fyrir miðnætti í gærkvöldi og fór lítið fyrir henni. Skjannahvítur Landrover Discovery með alveg dökkum afturrúðum stoppaði fyrir utan hótelið og stuttu síðar gekk Watson inn í fylgd ljóshærðrar konu á miðjum aldri. Báðar voru þær klæddar í útivistarföt líkt og allir ferðamenn sem heimsækja Reykjavíkurborg. Þrátt fyrir að bar hótelsins væri þéttsetinn þegar leikkonan kom í hús tóku fáir eftir henni.
Emma Watson hefur notið Reykjavíkur meðan á dvöl hennar stendur en hún borðaði meðal annars á Ban Thai ásamt vinum sínum eins og Smartland greindi frá í gær.

The first article is kinda funny for me, it talks about a worker at the theatre when Emma and two female friends (who apparently stood out simply because the only people seeing the film were elderly) went to see To Rome With Love. So odds are she was tweeting during the movie (bad girl haha) The 2nd is just her going to a Thai place with 4 friends, what they ate. And the third one was just about her going out for a night with her assistant and the hotel she's staying at. My favorite thing though had to be the B5 Mosh Pit tweet this past weekend, not because of the mosh pit itself but because Reykjavik was celebrating Gay Pride this past week. So for the first time ever she was able to go out and not have men trying to buy her drinks and hit on her...the women on the other hand lol

Nice to see her enjoying Iceland. I have to admit, I'm a little jelly. They have some ODD food in Iceland that looks oddly tasty that I've been dying to try (they did a special on Andrew Zimmern's Bizarre Foods about Iceland). I wonder of she's tried any, like spoiled shark, or slatur (blood pudding.)

„It was pretty epic to sell Emma Watson movie tickets," says Hildur Ólafsdóttir (the girl who sells the tickets) in the (movie theater) who assested the star when she came to see the movie To Rome with Love at 5:30 today.
„I was a little shocked " says Hildur sho sold Emma three tickets. Emma was escorted with two other womens but on of them was a slightly older wich made the staff of the movie theater suspect that this was the actress's mother. The actress was polite and nice says Hildur
„She was just really nice," she says
Hildur says there few people at the movies when Emma cameand most of them didn't even notice her. „On the other hand there were three little girls who saw her and were quite shocked" because this is a magical hero from one of the biggest book series in the world Source: Visir
Emma Watson ate at the Ban Thai.
The actress Emma Watson, who is on Iceland right now, filming the movie Noah, did well to herself on the restaurant Ban Thai at Laugavegur last night. Miss Watson was in the company of four friends, two women and two mens, and they enjoyed them selfs. They ate thai shrimps and carry tofu. Emma said in an interview with Stylelist last year that mexican food was her favoriteand she always ate at La Esquina when she was in New York.
Question of thai food gets on her list of favorite foods and if she'll say in her interviews in the future that she always eats at Ban Thai when she is in Iceland. The actress didn't though come in a surprise to the place because two of her friends had already tried the place couple of days earlier. Ban Thai doesn't stand out but he is above Hlemm(bus station donwtown) The place though has many loyal fans because the food is specially delicious and on good price. The restaurant gets good critics on Tripadvisor.com.

Emma Watson stays at 101
The young Harry Potter actress Emma Watson is on Iceland filming the movie Noah where one of her co stars is Russell Crowe. She stays at 101 Hotel. The hotel owner is Ingibjörg Pálmadóttir who was in the lobby yesterday afternoon. Mbl.is(news website) said that Emma Watson had gone to the movies last night and not understood anything in the Woody Allen movie which was partially on italian with Icelandic subtitles. Miss Watson came in 101 Hotel just before midnight last night and didn't make a scene.
Bright white Land rover Discovery with dark shades stopped outside the hotel and short while later Watson and a blonde middle aged woman walked out. Both were they dressed on outdoor clothes like all tourists who visit Reykjavík city. Even if the hotel bar was filled with people when the actress came in few people noticed her. Emma Watson has being enjoying Reykjavik while she stays here but she ate at Ban Thai with her friends last night like Smartland(news/gossip website) said .

Im sorry for all misspells and everthing that doesn't sound right. It is translated directly so somehtings in Icelandic might sound wierd in English. Any other Icelandic people feel free to correct me :)

You're awesome! Thank you so much for this :D

@Jason It was simply meant as a joke to coincide with the fact that she was out during Gay Pride Week.

And thanks Asta, Google Translate always makes things sound a little off so it was nice to be able to read it complete.

Thank- you for this little nice information from Iceland. So it seems she is doing well. She is always described as so tiny. Must note though, women in Iceland and the nordic countries tend to be tall. I like that she is described as being young. One can be made up to look older for a film, but it is difficult to make someone look younger without looking very unnatural. This is great!

I'd love to see the trio though work on a complete different film together- a film that is far from HP. The $$ are adding up in wanting to see them in their individual projects, but I like all 3 of them. But I guess, that sometimes I will have to wait until I can borrow, rent or buy the DVD. It is amazing how these 3 actors make others happy. Every time you see theme on TV they are polite and respectful toward others. That makes others feel good. They are not vulgar or in any way dismal or chaotic. They are just friendly and normal. That is certainly to be appreciated in this day and age, where abnormal is almost accepted as normal in some circles.
I am looking forward to their future. I follow this with my children. My sons ceilings are filled with Emma pictures. And my daughter's wall is plastered with Rupert, Daniel and Logan Lerman. Oh well I plastered my walls with Donny Osmond and Michael Jackson. Some things never change. Smile!

I've seen Rupert, carrying the Olympic torch via YouTube. Did you see it? It's free.
I hear you about the dollars adding up. That's why I mention this.

@anonymous 9.42am You and your family has great taste :). I grew up in Michael Jackson ERA and my room is full of MJ.
The shades that Emma wears reminds me of MJ when he use to wear them in the BAD ERA 87-89. Maybe Emma liked MJ too :)

Evanna Lynch absolutely loves MJ, her twitter icon is of a young MJ with Bubbles, but Evanna put her face where the chimp's was.

Noah is the film to anticipate for 2012. I also believe that The Hobbit 3 and Noah will be in competition with one another. I would love to see Emma in a Peter Jackson, del toro, Steven Spielberg, Tom Hooper, Martin Scorsese and more Darren Aronofsky films. He is one of my favorite directors. All of his movies are good, and the female characters are all interesting.Emma is making good careful choices, but I hope that she still finishes her degree. To just quit is too easy.

My kids have their posters on the wall. I had the group Bread and David Cassidy on my wall and ceiling smiling down at me. Being young has repetitive characteristics which are the same throughout the ages. But you are right from 9:42 a.m. emma watson, logan lerman, rupert grint and daniel radcliffe are what the kids call cool and well-behaved without being boring. I am glad there are talented young actors who are not retarding being cool to regressive behavior. Sometimes I want to throw the TV out of our house, but then these young people light up the screen and my kids like them, and that is OK. I just wish this Vamp era (culture of death) would pass- very unhealthy.
