With the last question, Emma kind of has a reason to be scared/excited about Bling Ring cause it's the first time she's playing a villian and most likely such a deviant and possible sexual role that it could be a bigger shock than her in Perks.

Chris,

I was looking at the last Q&A as well concerning the ‘The Bling Ring’. It sounds as if it might be further out Than ‘Perks…’ (Though Sam is not really a bad girl) the way she call her character ‘…crazy girl’ she may be that. Of course it is hard to tell what the tone of the movie will be by the pictures from the film set. Emma also mentioned ‘…If people find it difficult seeing me with an American accent, wait till they see this.’ Emma filmed the ‘The Bling Ring’ earlier this year. I wonder how different or much better her American accent will be since it has been a year since she filmed ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’. I wonder if she will put on a more of a SoCal accent like she did at the MTV Movie Awards. I guess we will have to wait and see. :)

With Perks, Bling Ring, and Voices coming up in the next few years, I think we will find out how many people were simply a fan of Hermione and how many people are a fan of Emma.

I think most that follow her after 12 years in the public-eye know her as Emma by now. I do not think that will be an issue. As large and global as her fan base is, it is still very, very narrowly focused around ‘Harry Potter’, modeling and her various appearances; because of that, there are a number of people that either don’t know who she is or vaguely as the ‘Harry Potter’ girl. I know it is hard to believe, but there are people that haven’t really seen the ‘Harry Potter’ movies or do not follow it that closely. I think when her other movies are released; she will gain many more new fans. :)

@anon-I agree 100%. Hopefully people will see her movies when they come out. We already can see Dan Radcliffe has a huge fan base outside of HP (Woman in black, H2S were all major hits). I'm afraid what happened with Rob, Kristen and Taylor is going to happen to Dan, Rupert and Emma. Everyone went to see Twilight, but when they each did movies on their own, they were all complete flops at the B.O.

The HP kids haven't been flops yet in other films. WiB sold well, so did My Week with M. The film with which Rupert was involved also did pretty well. And the last two films with Rupert, the Necessary Death of Countryman and Cb... with Alan Rickman is also already getting good reviews. Perks already had a fanbase through the book, which of course fans want to see how well it translates into film. Noah will be widely accepted because it being a Darren Aronofsky film starring Russell Crow and Anthony Hopkins- films greats. The young actors such as E. Watson and Booth and L.Lerman will benefit with being able to film with the cream of the crop of the film industry.I can't wait!

I can really understand why Emma deferred her studies again. Her breakthrough after HP either happens now with the upcoming films such as Perks, Noah and Beauty or it won't happen. I hope though that she finishes her degree. I really don't see her as quitting her degree.
