Again, how did you get this so early Eden when i t's supposed to air on Monday?....One other question,if Emma needed funding to make Perks, why didn't she just put the money up herself.I hear the movie is a low budget movie.I guess you need to go trough the Big Producers 1st since they own Hollywood.

@Cutiepie32

Even low budget movies could still cost a minimum of 20 million on an amazing budget. That's a good chunk of her earnings over the past 10 years to put up on the HOPE that the film is a success and that she could break even back in 2010.

The show looks promising, will definately have to check it out on Monday.

it has to be a little tough on Will adamowicz to see your girl hugged by two random dudes, being hoisted in the air by Jimmy Fallon, and posing w/ Logan & Erza on a couch during there vanity fait shots.i mean, thats a lot of harmless contact but everyman has that little feeling in the pit of their stomach thats aches a little....just a little

NO she said in an interview that the film has been made with less than 100,000$
And she was very surprised about it. Compared to the HP movies' budget...

Ron Henry here and I don't put all stock in what a film costs or doesn't cost! The script, and the chemistry....and does it entertain, that's your ballgame and Em's tops!!!That child, and Dan with Rupert absolutely NAILED the chemistry in the first Harry Potter.I rank that chemistry as the same quality as Roy Scheider,Richard Dreyfuss, and hello,ROBERT frikkin'SHAW!!!The damn shark didn't even work in salt water! However, the flick had ACTORS!So...with that brilliant chemistry,John Williams mastery at his craft, and our own natural fear JAWS became...timeless.We've been up to our arse in shark movies ever since,Emma is a bright ray of hope and one of the true ladies of Hollywood...reminds me of a childhood crush I had on Julia Roberts! There's nothing she can't achieve.I wonder what her OSCAR is gonna COST....she's our little Phoenix so just relax, shut up and watch the damn movie BEFORE we form useless assed opinions on the cost.ALWAYSLOVEandLOVEALWAYS KISSING THE WIND for EMMA!

I've got my TiVo set and ready to record! I'm happy he interviewed the cast, not just Emma, or Lofan, or Ezra. I wish they did this with Dan, Rupert and Emma. Cast interviews are always more interesting.

I did, it's written on the left, in the calendar.

So is Emma back to filming Noah now?

Eden said...

I think so.

coslopus,

They have done cast interviews over the years with the HP cast.

CutiePie32,

Emma is not the only person to hug or interact with other people; it is perfectly normal.

I cannot wait to see the interview. The audience interaction looks great. :)

@sparkvark111: When? A) I'm talking about television interviews only, not magazine interviews. They're so different when it's an interview on television. B) The only trio interviews I can recall are the ones on the PoA DVD, The View to promote CoS, Oprah in 2002 and Unscripted in 2007. Other than that, they've never done a TV interview together. Am I missing any other televised trio interviews?

Emma has looked a bit skinny since the Bling Ring.Compare her to when she made perks, she is now at least 5lb.s lighter & thats probabley do to the fact that she has been very busy this year keeping herself relavant. But one thing i hope its not,(i'm pretty sure its not)are drugs of any kind. She's too level headed but she said it herself, drugs are ALWAYS around in this business.

Eden said...

Serioulsy? Another comment about her losing weight? Yes, she did lose weight, that's a fact. But she only lost what she gained in 2011, she's the same as in 2010 and before, it's no big deal.

MTV Clip and Interview.

“MTV First: The Perks of Being a Wallflower” on Tuesday September 18 at 7:56 p.m. ET. Emma Watson, Logan Lerman and Ezra Miller will be on hand to present an exclusive new clip from the film, followed by a 30-minute interview on MTV.com.

I know exactly which one you are talking about, the 16 minute interview. Here is the exact quote from Emma. "I was like, 'You can make a movie for like less than a $100 million?! Are you kidding me?!' And they were like, 'We're gonna film it in six weeks.' And I was like, 'You can make a movie in six weeks?!' We did a Harry Potter in, like, seven months! This was like talking another language to me; it was just another world.

Besides, I highly doubt a hollywood film would cost less than a suburban house lol.

I agree they did a few photoshoot and interview around the early movies but at the last 4 they were seperated. I wish they would have done photoshoots together like they did with perks. The ones they did were always so strict and boring. Sitting around not really touching ( or just on the shoulder).I wonder if they did it to avoid the topic of sexuality and the romance part of it as much as they can, to keep it innocent.

I like the slight curl in her hair. This softens her facial features. The straight hair with this length looks stringy without a curl. Her hair looked horrible on david letterman show, eventhough she was naturally beautiful.
Also, I'm glad that she is chosing her films carefully. We don't need another generic shark film.

I think Perks of being a Wallflower, because the book was truly appreciated by adolescents, will be appreciated as a movie. I'm sure the themes are handled sensitively, otherwise it would not have received a PG-13 rating.
Low budget or not, this film is getting rave reviews. Summit did well to pick up the film.
Basically, I believe any film that Emma is in will find a wide audience. People just want to see her on screen; they want to observe how her development continues. And the fact, that she is multi-talented makes it interesting for the fans who are watching and waiting. WE LOVE EMMA!

I loved that Unscripted Interview years ago sooo much. LOL back then.

Chris you are right 100%. No way a movie like Perks (backed but Summit, not a major studio but not a rinky dink operation) goes down for less than seven figures. There are student films with budgets over $100 grand lol. That being said, with the type of movie this is (no expensive special effects, low advertising as most of that has been on the actors going out and promoting) I could see this film going down for under ten million. Somewhere in the 5-8 million range sounds reasonable. I would be willing to bet shooting in Pittsburgh is not nearly as pricey as a more exotic location, or a more conventional one like NYC just based on cost of living.
