Emma is too busy thinking about her self. Develop with helping others- going to Europe and helping that influx of girls and women from the Middle East. A lot of Blah, blah!

I used to like her as I grown up watching Harry Potter and her other projects.Don't get me wrong, it is her life, she can do whatever she wants to do.But she is getting too much with this feminism nonsense. She should get over herself.if she really wants to dedicate her next year to this project, she should study law or human rights rather than gender studies or something useless. We don't know what are the upcoming plans with heforshe so maybe she will go and visit countries where this is really an issue. She lives in a pink bubble if she thinks, speaking about gender equality or feminism will solve the problem. There are places where this is much worse.I know she wants changes but this is never going to happen. I really start feeling sorry for the men because I feel like they get a little bit of hate from this heforshe project even if it is not the point of the whole thing. It is also funny to see celebs acting like they are going to change the world, but they won't.They don't have a basic law knowledge or something similar just to know how the world rules. How about leave it to the people who know what they do? And celebs should stick with acting/singing or whatever a celeb do...
Yes it is nice to talk about feminism and be an activist and so on..I agree the first anon, there is a lot of nonsense blah blah...a fairytale.
Why didn't they choose a woman from a place where she saw things and can be a real ambassador of this project? I know why. Because if it wasn't Emma Watson nobody would pay as much attention as they do now.
Sorry, this is my honest opinion, like it or not.No hate at all,if she thinks it is fine, then let it be.

Never allow your own personal feeling into your projects.
Still a rookie walking a bigger path, she skipped the crawling. She will stumble, and as she falls...the press, the dignitaries will eat her up.

Awesome interview. It's a very reputable magazine from what I know. Great they are covering her for an issue.

I agree with Emily that if she really wants to be helpful, she should study law and human rights. Feminism is a bubble. The weirdest I always wonder about is that their are celebrities that make millions and plead for us to donate. A lot of Americans donate through their work places to UNICEF.
For Emma this is just being a celebrity. Just talking about it is not going to change anything. The normal person is very much aware of what is happening to women all over the world and in areas where we live. There are abusive men in Western Culture. The question why are men abusive to the woman?- unemployed, alcoholic and drug problems, problems with children. What is Emma doing to get to the roots of women being abused. Let us not forget, there are great number of men alone in the USA, UK and Germany that are abused by their wives.
Emma's path is too perfumed and not realistic; she needs to see what is happening in the real world in the relationships between people. Not everyone has the privilege of a bookshelf; the husband is struggling to put food on the table for his family and is frustrated into violence. Help this man get back on his feet with his family.

I honestly believe her heart is in the right place, but she has no touch with reality. And you can't really blame hare, she got into this media madness when she was a child and she never knew real, average life. She is quite a poor actress in my opinion, I would say she is a celebrity, not an actress really. But all this heforshe stuff looks more like her personal journey more than anything actually effective. Lately she's been talking more and more about HERSELF and how she fell in love with herself... yeah, fascinating.

To be fair, I have to say I appreciate her trips to Davos and official job for the UN. Like I said, I believe she has good intentions, but she's pushing some points too hard sometimes and it gets old.

That is the key to feminism - falling in love with yourself as a woman.
