Emma Watson will interview Caitlin Moran

Emma posted this on Our Shared Shelf:

Dear OSS,
Super excited to let you all know that I will be interviewing Caitlin Moran for the club later this week. Please post your questions about How To Be A Woman in this thread (and also any other burning questions you may have for her) and I shall get through as many as I can. I upload the video once it’s ready.
Emma xx

Emma's boosting the book sales of Authors (Gloria, Caitlyn, Alicia, Caitlyn and many more in future) by her selfie promotions and our shared shelf.
Good for them... Bad for my purse...

Why Moran is problematic?

She's a white feminist. Doesn't care about POC's. She's self-righteous. Referred to transgenders as "trannies" in her book. Likes to victim blame when it comes to rape. She ignores and blocks anyone who criticizes her no matter how valid their criticism and opinions are. She oversimplifies feminism and thinks that that's enough. She doesn't make solid arguments. Emma's feminism is pretty much the same. Sugar coated feminism. No wonder she likes feminists like Moran.

I don't know much about Moran's work but I am actually reading "The color purple" and "The opposite of loneliness" which are from OSS. The first one is about the lifes of African-American in the '30s and the other is written by a young woman determined to see the world as it is, with all the wrong of our time.

I don't think Emma likes "that" kind of feminist. Personnaly, I don't even know if Moran is the woman who is described in one of the comments.

I read the book: I found the book stupid and over simplified. Also too many jokes about what people suffer, although I am sure that is not the intent.
