Apparently Emma carries the film according to one person Ive talked to who has seen it

Well, in the book Mae is the main character, who makes various life discoveries.

Going totally transparent. Interestingly something Emma has to work to avoid.

I feel conflicted about watching this movie since I like Emma but loathe her on-screen role, Mae, for what she did to Mercer. Same goes for hanks and his alter ego, Bailey.

John Boyega's Ty/Kalden is the only saving grace for the book but I'm not sure how it will work out in the movie considering the confusion with his identities.

Here Emma plays the amoral villian, who can be worse than the one who is known to be downright evil. In the book, Mae never seems so conflicted, more like a person who was just looking for the opportunity of a great job. Mae is a person of our time, who will do anything to get ahead. I am interested to see how the producers and director play this out.

I'm curious if the movie will end the same as the book, because American movies always have end super happy and all. But won't go into details because I don't want to spoil of course.

* Eden please delete anything remotely near a spoiler such as above. Thank you.

I did not see a happy ending in the book, rather that Mae was completely manipulated and a organic part of the circle.

I won't delete the comments but I'll put a little spoiler warning in the article ;)

It's written in the article that there are spoilers in the comments. If you don't want spoilers, you don't read the comments. No need to be insulting.

Sorry, didn't know anyone would be bothered by it, I won't commend anything like this again!

The book end was like.. meh. And Mae's character was really annoying. I hope the movie will be better.

Looking at the trailers it's not going to be any better.
