Emma Watson at the Golden Globes [January 07, 2018]

Emma went to the Golden Globes this Sunday accompanied by Marai Larasi (executive director of Imkaan) to support the 'Time's up' movement and also to present the Best Limited Series or TV Movie award with Robert Pattinson (no, they are not dating). She also went to the InStyle and Warner Bros after-party.

Firstly, no I absolutely do not like the outfit! I don't know if it's just me outgrowing my enjoyment of Emma's style but lately I just haven't been liking her fashion choices. And the bangs in my opinion (and I seem to be in the minority) are too short!

But secondly and more importantly, such a cool idea to bring an activist to such an event. Really love it. A great way to use a high profile event to promote something more important than the "are they dating, will they be married soon, will they have a baby soon" etc. trope regarding the dates they choose to bring. At least you'll ignore the date, at most you'll try find out what cause they support and maybe learn something along the way, so awesome to that idea!

Would you happen to know if Emma or any other celebrity that attended the Globes bothered to mention how women & girls in Africa and the Middle East are sexually mistreated (by that I mean raped) and suppressed on a daily basis in their respective countries? Furthermore, just as a bonus, Claire Foy should have definitely got that Globe over Elizabeth Moss. Much better actress.

So so cool! Emma's the best. 🌹🌹🌹

I like Emma, but when she is in an interview with someone, she always speaks, hahaha, she talks a lot, I do not say that she does it on purpose, but the companions do not talk almost anything. Sorry my english

nice try, lmao. the west is just as violently misogynistic as anywhere else. it’s easier to fix violence within our own communities than it is halfway across the world. we can still care deeply about it, but don’t play that “western women have nothing to complain about, they could be suffering EVEN MORE” bullshit.

I find that her bangs rejuvenate a lot Emma. I love her and I love her dress so much. I can understand why people don't like her bangs or her dress at the Golden Globes but for me, she looks amazing like always.
Could you add more pictures and the video where she is with Robert Pattinson please ? I love your blog

Eden/ everyone else ; has anyone seen emmoineimage tumblr? i have been such a huge emma watson supporter since childood but there content makes my heart sink. how much of it is true? (but also the fact that when somebody who dislikes someone so much would actually run a whole blog is truly hilarious and sickening at the same time).

This is her first appearance on a big event in a very long time and she's wearing that thing? and that haircut...her outfits are not inspiring at all.

Black clothes along with red lipstick is emma’s Favorite but it doesn’t look good on her. She looks better in lighter lipstick.

Emma tries to do something different from others in fashion and ends up looking terrible. Even in batb promotions she did have a lot of black and white. Her gown for China premier was good, London, LA premiere the clothes were terrible. I particularly hated the black jumpsuit she wore for LA premier. She has such a pretty face but her styling makes look terrible. In the golden globes so many ordinary looking women were looking bettter then her beacon their better styling.

What’s with one earring, she looks like a hippie

Comments on Emma are so negative on her golden globe attire on Daily mail

so where are these new projects eden eh? the only thing she has done since 2015 is cut her fringe!

Anonymous said...

Emma cannot get roles as she is not so talented, now if she will try to look unattractive too in a industry where looks matter so much, she may as well forget Hollywood

Anonymous said...

She made a mistake in announcing the name, instead of David she read Daniel

Couple of years back people used to call Emma pretty, natural beauty, English and now because of her terrible styling comments on YouTube and Daily mail are average looking, teenage boy, plain Jane. Why Emma you do this.

I thought there would be a lot more material from this event, but just 2 screen caps?? Did she talk about any future projects besides the activism??

She comes across with a strong need of self -presentation. She is doing nothign out of the ordinary. Those women who are no celebrity like this woman she is interviewing are really doing something for women. Emma is just a young woman with airs. Now is she would use a few million of her 80 to 90 Million of net worth to build up something to help poor females in suffering areas, I would say yes, she is really doing something. Now she is only gnawing on the work of others calling it working together.
I bet in time she will have her own Talk Show. She is definately moving away from film and talking more. She seems to have more talent talking than she does acting. Any way, I wish ehr the best. Eventhough I do wish she would hone her skill and act.

Remember when EW was spotted in Amsterdam? Mystery solved: it must have been to meet with the Dutch designer of her GG dress (also the bag from the Bafta tea). Anyway, a glimpse into how carefully thought through these red carpet events are -- that meeting was in September! And then presumably at the last minute all the planning had to be upended so that she could wear black ...

There's plenty more. It just took me a long time to go through everything and then I wasn't feeling really well. I'll try posting everything tomorrow.

Is Emma dressing like a man to be taken seriously as some activist, that’s the only thing left with her now. In perks and colonia there was appreciation of emma’s Acting. I think at that time she used to try but her recent wooden performance in batb and circle it feels like she has stopped trying. Instead of perfecting her art at every film it felt like she kept giving up and the performances went downhill.

Why does she sway so much while talking it looks unnatural and lately in interviews she seems to talk so forcefully like in an exaggerated manner when trying to make a point, that she comes across as fake. I think she should give interviews like before where she appears more natural and not so forced. Nowadays it looks like she is trying too hard.

That's alright Eden! Whenever you can, we know you do this just for fun so, no problem!! ;)

I'm a "HP" fan, used to run a fansite and followed closely while they were filming the saga and everything. Yet I can't remember people shipping Emma and Robert (or even Emma and Tom, for that matter) at the time. When the hell did that start?!?

Anonymous said...

I bet she never keeps in touch with this people. Just a photo op and on to the next thing. It's the same for all of them I bet. Hollywierd indeed.

Firstly:
Why do people over-criticize women on every single tiny fucking thing?? The way she talks, moves her head, how she "appears", on and on.. I rarely see this with men, if at all.

Why this obsession with every candid appearance, every appearance at a red carpet, every action?

Secondly:
All these ppl keep shitting on her about her personal life that you know fuckall about, her activism -also something u know fuckall about because she has been doing it without actively promoting it and is laying low. This just seems like entitled behaviour to me.

If she promotes her activism, she's caring too much about her image and faking it.
When she says she is doing social work and talks about the activists she is doing it with and brings them along like Marai Larasi, but doesn't promote her activism and the social work she is doing and doesn't bloody detail it all out in an essay, then she's again a lying bitch.

It's never bloody enough, no matter what she does, with a lot of you. You can never please some ppl because they're only looking to shit on you.

I'm not saying she's some angel in heaven; no one is. She has her flaws like every one of us. But i hate to see such hypocritical, double standard, and misogynistic comments.

Also, thanks Eden. You work hard and I hope you're well :D♥

Tanks you for adding all the pictures ! It's a lot of work ! Thankkks

The black outfits at the golden globes was the color for Times Up and Strong Women. Most of the actresses had a black dress on.

To Rolinda: I think you care too much. It's the kind of shit that celebrities get a lot and they have to deal with it so let people troll or criticise. If she actually handled her feminism better maybe there wouldn't be so many bad opinions around. I agree with you on one thing tho.Who cares about her personal life? she could have four boyfriends at the same time and it's still no ones business.

Rolinda said...

To the person who replie to me: But you completely ignored my first point, which very much ties into my second. It isn't limited to celebrities, women and people from discriminated communities get it a lot. No mater what you do, there's always a way to shit on you.

On a different note, I think she handles her feminism pretty great, to be honest. No one emerges a complete feminist, because there cannot be something like that; there's always more that you find that you need to understand or didn't know about.
I think that from the beginning, she's had a very open-minded, constantly expanding, idea of feminism, which i really like and appreciate.

She's one of the few public figures who i've seen have always seemed open to learning. Also, the way she handles her criticism (publicly) seems to me that she works hard to understand her critics. She's also one of the few who don't constantly and actively promote every single bit of social work that they do; sometimes it needs to be done so that people can get aware about it however a lot of time there's this element of 'show' attached to celebrity activism; but i find that with her that 'showy' element isn't there.

I feel like she is underrated for a lot of the things that i think are commendable about her.

Yes, I do care a lot about feminism and feminists; but I would never say that i cared too much, because its very important to me and an important part of my life, really.

She does not have the talent to act well and be in truly good films with sought after directors, so she is an activist to remain a celebrity. Emma likes being famous. I am not saying that she does not care for women's rights but everything she does is with emma in the spotlight.
