Emma always wanted to be in a musical remember?
Hm.. I dunno, We'll see. it will be great fun to see her in a musical, I'd love to see her sing. I trust the derector and hope it won't be a teenage drama horrible thing and maybe it might be great! I'm just happy she's doing another film!

So this'll take place in France for shooting? Or what? Will she have a French accent or keep her English one? Or American seeing as the producer is? Hmm wonder who'll play Beast

Just saying, it's not said she'll be Beauty. I think she'll be but it only says she's in the cast.

i hope its true, but for me this is not really official.

They'll probably shoot the film in France, it would be funny to hear Emma with a french accent.
I think the value of the film will be known when they reveal who was cast a "the beast". I hope it's not some teen to attract youg crowds but someone more mature, making the movie more interesting.

Whoop whoop whoop!!! Brilliant news! Really smart move for her career, really really smart!

I don't think she'll have a French accent btw. Remember even the cartoon was set in France and only some of the furniture had French accents...

I think she'll just keep her regular voice in the film as Del Toro does tend to direct a lot of British stars also.

beast would be more interesting

This seems like a good project for Emma, but I can't help but wonder. Are they running out of new ideas in Hollywood? This story has already been made into several movies (Disney's animated version the best by far). Do we really need another Beauty and The Beast movie? There is even a Smurfs movie coming out pretty soon for God Sake! Maybe I should write a screenplay. Something new and fresh and original.

I recently though about writing them a new story too Anon above. Hollywood is pathetic these days. Have you seen the trailer for the movie of a man who hide PENGUINS in his house? PENGUINS for god's sakes!
But it looks like a good project, like Alice in wonderland. Remake, but still a good one, and Guillermo del Toro must have a good idea to run the project. he's not a bastard, as many of the hollywood normal directors/producers seem to be.

Agree 100 percent Anon above. There are very talented people associated with this project. There most likely will be a new twist on the Story. I am sure it will be visually stunning, like Alice and Wonderland, and have a great sound track. Seeing Emma sing (I assume she will) will make the whole thing worth while.
