About Beauty, Emma talked about it a bit during 'Perks' promotion:
"We [del Toro and I] met a week or two ago, and we started working on the script, and it's going to go next summer. It's so funny, obviously I've been doing a lot of other work, and I was nervous. I was like, 'Is this going to go away?' And Guillermo is so psyched about it, and he's like been thinking about it so much." "He brought the book," Watson continued, referencing the director's infamous sketchbooks in which he logs his ideas. "I was like, 'Ah, this is killing me.' I'm very excited."

Emma Forrest also said on her twitter that filming should begin early next year when EW will be finishing her degree. Kind of a bummer but that happens.
Having read the absolutely worthless mess of a book that was "Your Voice In My Head," I'm not sorry to see Emma out of it. It's not impossible that a decent film and decent role could be made from it, but as the script is by Emma Forrest, who wrote the crappy book in the first place, that seems really unlikely.
I think Emma can make better use of her time and talents.
