The great thing about all the pictures that I have seen from Emma in Bling Ring stills, is that in every one she looks like a total bitch lol. At least she did a great job looking the part.
It's interesting that except for Perks, all the roles Emma has taken on since she cut her hair off have involved long hair. I know she finds short hair easier, most would, but I think she looks better with long locks. She says "the boys" all like her hair long, so I must be one of the boys.
There's something about "bitchy-looking Emma" that I love so much. I agree, she's very good at looking the part of a bitch. She has that bratty scowl down!
I hope we get more pics soon! I think I recall Emma saying her character dances seductively while holding a gun or something. I'm a girl, but I really want to see a pic of that.
I wonder if the movie will premiere at the cannes festival. Almost all sofia coppola's movies premiered at a big film festival, either cannes (virgin suicide, marie antoinette) or venice film festival (lost in translation, somewhere). It would be cool to see her at Cannes, next year.
Do we think it's possible the US might see an earlier release? European premiers and US premiers are sometimes weeks if not months apart. But on the other hand, we haven't had a single teaser trailer yet. 6 months before release is pretty standard to see the first trailer.
Regardless of when it comes out, I'm so excited for this movie!
They will probably release it for the festivals before they release it wider. They do not necessarily release a teaser trailer for smaller films. I would not expect a trailer till at least the middle of next year. :)
Sure enough she is in character in the still. I already see the role of Nicki in this still. She did really well in Perks. This film will be another leap, and she will surely have a very busy summer with filming Beauty and doing PR work for Bling.
Cronberg is doing a star film, a social criticism of the rising star in Hollywood. (My understanding of an article). This description seems similar to Bling Ring. Viggo Mortensen and Robert Pattinson will be playing in the film.
The movie you're talking about is Map to the Stars. It seems it might be similar to Bling Ring. Already thought that it would be cool to have her in film with Viggo and Pattinson. But Cronenberg is a rough goer. Let emma do the Alchemist- now that would be a treat.

I saw the 'Perks' release for France changed to January 2, 2013.
