Not exactly a prestigious award, but nice that she's nominated nonetheless. Hope that means she'll attend the show.
First of many nomination's and sure age will win deserve it for a the work and commitment.
Like those photos, that is one of my favorite looks from her.
Anyone know what this is from? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F59pvEHouHE
No idea anon another of those odd American chat shows. Was doctored for effect however all in the editing.
LOL gender neutral = much less chance of winning now
Gender neutral.....means no need for HeForShe now. Idiots.
Lets have color neutral as well shall we? #allcolourmatter

Its from the Conan O'Brien show during the Noah promotion tour. There is a lot more to the video but they just put Emma's part on loop.
I do not have the source for this info; I was looking for something else about Rup Grint when I cam on an article about Warner Brothers being in talks with the trio for The Cursed Child (19 years after Voldemort's defeat. Has anyone read or heard about this possibility. The article said that it would be the Star Wars with The Force Awakens. How could they do that though if Hermoine was completely different in the playP
Cursed Child trilogy will happen Warners will push for it especially since their D.C. movies aren't setting the world on fire.
Emma would make $50million easily out of the new movies either way.
2021 at the earliest but more likely 2026 when Fantastic Breasts has milked it's last wand.....
But without Alan Rickman what's the point?
I'm an absolutely fan of "she for he"! And I hope more people will participate.
Apparently the rumor was false, people like JK Rowling said it's not going to happen. Although of course that could be a lie too. But I haven't heard anything about it since then.
Too bad! It would of been the opportunity for the trio to ride the train again.
"people like JK Rowling said it's not going to happen"
Yeh she also said Hallows was the last and some how we got a fan fiction written follow up by two other people pretty much....
Rowling is a lying hack.
I liked McKenzie Foy in Interstellar. Although I thought Emma would have made a great Amelia. I would love to see Emma work the Christopher Nolan, Mel Gibson (Hacksaw Ridge was brillian in every way.),Peter Jackson, Martin Scorsese. In my opinion the best directors to date. Oh I forgot S. Spielberg.
to the person saying it isnt a prestigious award the oscars are a complete joke as have been the winners
emma is too good for the oscars, one example being her peter sellers tier performance in the bling ring
lmao at anyone who thinks emma stone, brie, vikander, hathaway, jlaw can act, they all act the same
If I facepalm any harder I'll end up like Crookshanks.
Well MTV is MTV,(cough). Now for the Ocars you have to be good in a film. One may disagree on which film makes an Oscar but at the end all of the films and actors up for nomination had created a stellar performance. Next to Oscar, MTV is very bad breath,.
" I would love to see Emma work the Christopher Nolan,"
Agree with you here Anon, Nolan is one of my favorite directors right now and i would love to see Emma work with him on something.
"lmao at anyone who thinks emma stone, brie, vikander, hathaway, jlaw can act, they all act the same"
I dont even know how to respond to this its so ridiculous. EW is good but not even in the same league as Hathaway or Lawerence. The other three you mentioned could be argued though.
"If I facepalm any harder I'll end up like Crookshanks."
That was HILARIOUS Eden. Well done.
Alicia Vikander was great in EX-Machina; she was also excellent as the danish girl. She understands the psychology of a role and presents the characters with their quirks and good sides. The wife of the artist in the danish girl helped her husband to discover his love for being a woman with little games that began to grip Eddie Redmayne's heart; they played wonderfully off of one another. Hathaway is leagues away from Emma in a positive way-jiust look at her role as Fantine in Les Miserable. Jennifer Lawrence gets better in every film and shows her range. She can speak with her eyes, her mouth her face in a way that is believeable. Nothing is over done; she does it the way people really feel.
I enjoy Emma but I do not see her handling Vikander's role in The Danish girl or the roles Jennifer played like the Silver Lining and Jen has improved since then.
Hope you Anon spend as much time on sites for people you like as you do of people you don't.
Emma is brilliant works hard and earns her accolades none of which in any way detracts form her peers.
Yeah Anon! How dare you think there are people better than Emma at anything! Dishonor on you! Dishonor on your cow!
My point being not the opinions held but why voice them here and not on fan sites of these people. But there attitude and yours makes it clear they like running Emma down.
There is a difference between neutrality and indifference Eden.
Point out you are the one putting all the work into Emma site for them to belittle her with. Hope that continues to amuse you :/
All Anon said was that Hathaway was better than Emma. That's it! No belittling.
I said again and again and again that people were welcome here to share their opinions about Emma whether they were positive or negative as long as they were respectful. What's the point of only accepting the same praising kind of comments? It's going to be 9 years that it's been this way. If people can't accept it, they should stop reading the comments.
What's the point of negative comments comparing unfavorably against others with no context other than to reduce the success Emma has recently.
These Anon don't like Emma or they are trolls. 9 years you must have some liking for Emma. 9 years you know that timeline she probably knows who you are Eden. Or did at least maybe it is time to stop reading the comments who needs another hate site after all.
They only think Emma has room for improvement, get a grip.
Really believe that Eden I'm not the one losing my grip. Just don't agree with there view point because it is not what you seem to think it is. They always find fault even now when she is doing so well.
If she wins the Oscar they will find fault and come to your blog to babble there nonsense. Go through what they write and ask what they get out of it "room for improvement" what arrogance and if that is so why only use anonymous accounts.
So wait? One person makes a statement that a certain group of actresses are bland actresses and then when challenged we are the ones trolling? Really? Come on. I find it hilarious that someone cant be a Watson fan yet understand she has a ways to go yet to be a great actress. Its not trolling to have an opinion that she isnt quite there yet compared to some others.
If anything, the fact that some people think she is just so perfect (when in reality no one is) is far more unrealistic than anyone who has anything negative to say. Everyone has faults but since this isnt a Jlaw, Stone, or Hathaway board there isnt anything to critique. I would think by now Ross you would understand that this is a EW site which makes what she does the focal point of any discussion.
I think Eden has made it pretty clear that people can make observations, opinions, and critiques based on the work she does whether positive or negative. You seem to want to live in this bubble where you dont want to hear differing opinions which doesnt give you any objectivity whatsoever. Just because you think Watson can do no wrong or is unable to have room to grow as an actress doesnt make your opinion the only one that matters.
And quite frankly, shame on you for even attempting to silence anyone who has a differing opinion. The very things that Emma fights for with feminism is to allow people's voices to be heard. No one has bashed her, called her names, or anything of that nature in here yet you want to tell Eden how to run her site. If you dont like people having opinions you dont agree with than go make your own site and quit trying to tell a woman how she should run hers.
I personally loved BATB and thought it was the best that Emma had done acting wise, but dont agree with the notion that she is better than the others that another Anon (who quite frankly didnt use a real name just so you know) stated a few posts back. Its not belittling to disagree with that comment. I think its a shame that you would call yourself a feminist but then try everything you can to silence other people when they dont share the same opinion as you.
One can still like the works of an actor but realistically realize that others are better. I think Demi Moore is great in some types of films, but Sandra Bullock is has more range. So it is with Emma. It is not wicked to say that Emma is good but there are others that are much better. I enjoyed BATB also, and thought it was her best to date, but a few times it did feel wooden, for instance when she yelped seeing the Beast. I thought it was a bit overdone. I totally enjoyed her graciousness throughout the film: how she treated the beast, the child with the books, her relationship with others. She gave a realistic delivery. Although I did not like the german voice over. I think a film is different with the original voice. I will buy the DVD when it is a bit cheaper. In Germny they cost about 15 Euro, roughly $15.
thanks,
Lou
If it OK to have a different view why all the hostility over mine. You make all these comparisons with other performers I don't happen to agree with them simple.
As to a Emma fan not believing she needs improvement; what qualification do you have to support these assertion that i should agree. She is one of the most successful film professionals of her generation she has proven herself as a professional and caring human being.
So how about as she spends no time criticising others we extend the same courtesy to her.
With the world intent on tearing itself to pieces, why not show a little kindness. Take some pleasure in someone achieving what they worked so hard for.
I havent seen anyone being mean to her in this thread. I think you are simply overreacting and unable to handle any kind of criticism that doesnt fall into your line of thinking. As i said before, you can still like a lot of things EW does but at the same time understand she can have room for improvement. And furthermore, no one is trying to force you to believe anything. People are only stating their opinions like you are. You need to stop acting like your word is the only word that counts. If you cant handle differing opinions maybe you should take a break from the comment sections.
Read what you have written form the another person point of view it is you that are unable to except counter viewpoints. I simply don't agree with what you assert or your qualifications for saying it.
Nothing personal just my informed opinion.
Except im not the one telling people they should not have their own opinions. I can accept that you think Emma is the greatest actress ever. The difference is im not telling you that you cant have that opinion. Im not coming onto someone else's site telling her that she needs to do away with negative opinions. You havent put up a counterpoint at all about whether Emma is better than the other actresses, you've only tried to tell people they shouldnt have those opinions. That is vastly different and you know it. Dont try to spin you way out of it and play victim here.
I never play at anything let's remember who is the one being themselves and who is anonymous.
To be clear I only voice my opinion and stand by that; Emma's accomplishments speak for themselves. I do not tell anyone anything they should do nor to I make snide or aggressive comments. I just disagree with the prevalent view in the comments at the moment that Emma has some leaning curve to be as good as her peers. All round I think she is better, more talented and harder working. However I do not go on other actors fan sites and say it there were it would reflect negatively on them. Instead I go on fan blogs and social media and say it to Emma and her supporters, and if needs be her detractors, where it is a positive.
"I do not tell anyone anything they should do nor to I make snide or aggressive comments."
Hmmm, so this isnt you insulting the owner of this website?
"But there attitude and yours makes it clear they like running Emma down."
"Point out you are the one putting all the work into Emma site for them to belittle her with. Hope that continues to amuse you"
Im sorry, that must be the other Ross Taggart who says people should be nice, positive, and not insulting to people.
Glad we cleared up your complete hypocrisy with your own words.
Never the less, moving on and happy whining Ross. Its done wonders for you so far! :)
Taken out of context and part of a larger exchange. You are the one demonstrating hypocrisy; You attack any view not your own speak for others and resort to insult when disagreed with.
And as I said no confusion who I am anonymous...
Nothing was taken out of context, i copied it just as you wrote it. You are just mad that you got caught in a lie and are now spinning and backpeddling. You are doing such a great job of it you would make Trump proud. You are just another misogynistic guy trying to tell a woman what to do and how to run her site. If you were half the stand up guy you pretend to be you would apologize to her for your comments. But you and i both know you dont have the high character to admit when you are wrong and do that now dont we?
I stand by what I say. That's why my name is on it. I do not lie. I am not like trump or any other chauvinist. Since I do things as myself that is clear for anyone who wished to look.
If you don't like what I say then stand by your claims as yourself. My discussion with Eden are there for anyone to read we disagree on Emma's merit that is all I have no personal animosity towards Eden or you. I just have my own opinion happen to think Emma Watson is wonderful. That does not translate to everyone but there it is nonetheless.
"I stand by what I say. That's why my name is on it".
Thank you. Im glad we cleared up what ive been talking about the last few posts. I know that had to be incredibly difficult for you to do but im proud of you. It takes a lot of guts to admit when you are wrong so im glad you are as you say putting your name to it.
As far as my claims (as myself as you put it) i learned a very valuable lesson a long time about putting my name out there on stuff like Blogs, Forums, etc. The last time a person said the same things as you that person then went on to harass and stalk me to the point where they began to insult my wife on social media and say very derogatory things about my young daughter. So no Ross, i wont put my name to sites like this because of what happened a few years back. I dont need my name on here to prove any validity of my posts and i wont do it for the reasons stated. Not saying you are one of those types of guys but the risk is way to high for me to do that again so sorry, not happening.
As to the rest of what you said i think its safe to say a majority of the people who visit this site (including myself) think that Watson is a very wonderful human being, even if we have some criticisms on certain things. My only problem with your posts is the fact that you wont challenge the topic but instead resort to either insulting or lashing out at the poster or specifically in this case the owner of the site. Its my belief when you have a given topic (in this case Emma) than if someone says something that you disagree with than by all means challenge what was said. But its not very good decorum to start accusing people of trolling, lashing out at the site owner, or trying to dictate what should or shouldnt be said on a site that isnt even yours.
If you wanted to challenge the notion that Emma is better than Jlaw, Hathaway, etc than by all means do so. I would be very interested in hearing why you actually think that and think that it would be a very good discussion. But when you immediately start dismissing it by doing the others you did it does nothing for the site nor for the discussion. I think its important that when discussing a celebrity/athlete/musician/etc that the topic remain on the celebrity and not the people involved in the discussion. If i had to be honest, i dont think even EW would think that your response earlier in this thread was warranted or even beneficial to the thread itself.
As Eden has stated time and time again differing opinions are accepted here so as long as they are respectful. In this particular case with this particular thread nothing has been disrespectful only a difference in opinion on the talent level of the actresses mentioned by another poster. The other poster who said those actresses were bland, i would like to know why they think that because i obviously disagree even though i do like EW as an actress. I think having any discussion on this board would be more beneficial in the long run if we discussed the topic of EW good or bad instead of lashing out at each other (this would apply to me as well).
And if by some chance somene starts saying very disrespectful things about EW than Eden can do what she does and handle it. She may not care about what you said but i think it would be a nice gesture on your part to at least give her an apology. In my opinion anyway. Never the less, lets bury the hatchet and move on to another topic. For instance, im very excited for The Circle and i think Emma's character has a lot of depth to it so despite how good BATB was and how well it did at the box office i think this movie/character could elevate her even more if done right.
What say you Ross? How are you feeling about the next movie?
We disagree Anon, I have said what I think you have said what you think. You are afraid to do so as yourself but still demand other do what you see as the right thing. I does not work like that my interaction with Eden are between us and she can speak for herself.
I do not apologise for anything unless I feel I have reason too that is what standing by your word means.
As to the Circle I think it looks amazing and so relevant Emma has spoken about the use of technology and its intrusions on our privet life. Should be very interesting The book was controversial the movie potentially could be too we shall see.
