Is that a Catholic Church. I'm sure she is not passing out book on feminist saints- probably that vagina blitz- I read the VM. I only shook my head and threw the book into the fireplace, and it was lit. I even suffered a very hot morning.

She is beginning to fade; the hiding book scenerio is stupid. I would throw it in the trash if it was a book I thought detestable. That would be my choice not to stuff it down people's throat. Tell the truth, I think these antics are bizaare and nothing in the tube.

Looks like a regular monument from Paris (I'm French) nothing special just a touristic place.

It's a a church, but anyway. Emma should get in with Sophia Coppola again. Coppola's Beguiled was magnificient. I would have loved to to see Emma in another Coppola film. I did not like Bling Ring- not much of a story- but stupid teens getting full of themselves.

Same here.

Acting was ok but the characters were very unsympathetic and the story was just nothing i was really interested in. I know that Coppola and Emma were trying to show just how irrational and crazy fans can be but ultimately all it did was give them more publicity and attention than they already had.

This might sound silly for some of you but is it really smart to put random books in random public places considering that there's a lot of terrorist attacks? I know it's not an actual package but can she get arrested for doing this?

Anonymous said...

I was thinking the same thing because of the package look. She could have been arrested if anyone would have called the police.

Every time she tries to push the books down people's throats in this way I feel disgusted. We know what we want to read. It reminds of the Hari Chrishna group in thew 70's that lfet their book laying around.

Making material available, treating the fans sticking to her principles, having a little fun. Find fault with that you have to try hard.

There are people who would actually clean up all the books and throw them to trash because it might look inappropriate or just another public prank. What's the point of doing this if she doesn't even want to make a selfie with her fans? It's ridiculous because she's scared of getting her location discovered but she's leaving books everywhere and post a video of it on her official account.I don't know what she's thinking.

She's hardly forcing anyone to read what she offers.

"What's the point of doing this if she doesn't even want to make a selfie with her fans?"

I seriously can't see the relation between the two.

"It's ridiculous because she's scared of getting her location discovered but she's leaving books everywhere and post a video of it on her official account."

She was in Paris for The Circle promotion so people knew already she was in Paris. And she posted the video the day after she actually dropped the books.

Lol at people upset she leaves books around for people to read. I rarely agree with Ross but if this is the best thing you can whine about than you live a very sad sad life.

There is a relation if you want to "treat" fans with leaving books everywhere instead of making them happy by taking a selfie with them.I think a lot of people would enjoy a simple selfie over reading a book they have no interest in.

She took plenty of selfies with fans during her last promotions.

She doesn't drop the books for the fans. The fans already know what is the current book on our shared shelf, she's not trying to let the book for free for a fan that couldn't buy it. She's trying in a fun way to make people read (here especially feminist subjects).

She also refuses. I know. I wonder where she ticks sometimes.

Allowing a selfie is more personal; I can buy my own books. I don't think we have the same style. I like visionary lit.-

To us it sounds like a simple selfie, but to Emma it can mean that the whole world knows within a few minutes where she is and people will stalk her.

one needs to be careful not to fall into paranoia. I know she felt different after the picture hack. What I don't understand how can they leave their intimate photos on PC that is online. That is asking for trouble. I use one PC for things I work on online. One laptop where I have all personals not connected to internet. If I want to bring anything online, I pull it on a stick and put it online from the stick on the other PC.
