Why is she acting like it’s normal to be drunk? I don’t think it’s normal at all! Out of sudden she’s not the good, perfect role model any more, is she? Gosh, it’s normal to be tipsy sometimes, not to be drunk! It’s incredibly unhealthy! She’s acting like she’s proud of being drunk, that’s the stupidest thing EVER! I really was annoyed when she bowed, felt a bit of dislike towards her and I never had that before. And of course I’m still annoyed with her for that Eyemurdering thing she wore at the USA primiere, so that makes it worse. oe her interview at Reggis nad Kelly will be smarter. Really the dumbest thing she ever did. ‘Ill bow for that!’ Holy god.
Jeez, she said she was ONCE completely drunk and joked about it, what did you want her to do? Hidding? Her reaction was too much in my opinion too but she was just joking, big deal. And a dress is just a dress, just saying.
Lmfao,lol,bwahahahahaha...Fully normal stuff, being drunk few times in a whole your life having so much of parties with this kind of life. You never lived if you never got drunk.Emms is fully normal person, which trying to be normal in a time when she can only be "special".Nice interview.
I don't care she was drunk, her business, I care she acted like it was the most normal thing in the world, because it's not, and she has a role model status. It was just an unacceptable thing to do, and in my opinion she tried to hard to be funny.
You're the ones deciding that she'll be a role model, she never said she was one. No offence for the ones who are concerned but I think it's stupid in the first place to choose a celebrity, and even more stupid considering Emma's young age, as a role model.
@Eden, She IS a role model! You can't decide to be one. There are girls who want to be like her and do the things Emma does. That's just true, admit it! She's not really my rolde model, but you KNOW some other people consider her as their role model. No need to discuss that. Sheh as to accept that.
I don't deny the fact that there are girls who want to be like her, I'm just saying I think it makes no sense. They don't know her, how taking example on someone who you only know her public life? I think Emma, and all the other young celebrities, have already enough pressure like that. They deserve to do mistakes, learn from them and then joke about them. It's the fans' fault if they're disappointed by their idols, they should choose their role models among people who are old enough to have lived something, and close enough to them to be able to ask them for advices.
Relax Birgit! Letterman practically forced it out of her anyway. She was like "I am dying here, can we move on!" Then she admits she was drunk, no big deal. I think Emma was pretty good, overall. Letterman asked her a lot of dumb questions, but she handled it fine. Did she say she was an English major now. What happened to History?
I like when Letterman interviews her. He really brings out her silliness and awkwardness. And the whole hoopla about her admitting being drunk, umm that's being human, sweetie. I'm sorry if she can't be perfect all the time.
For or the people who don't think getting drunk when you're young is normal, I have one advice: never go to university (and especially not a european one, lol). You won't know what you'll be in for :D
I think there is a huge gap between cultures... I was wondering why was it so hard to Emma to admit she had been drunk, because, in my country, it's pretty normal to be drunk occasionally. No, it's not healthy, but it's not like it'll kill you, if you do it every now and then (but if you do it every weekend...well, that's not that normal). I don't think it's wise to be really drunk, but I think it's quite normal to be drunk every now and then, anyway.
Emma is just a human. I understand she needs to act more properly than an average person as she's so famous, but I would have been really amazed if she had said she hadn't never been drunk.
It's funny to see how some people react whey they learn that she is only human. She is 21 and we can't expect her to be perfect, she can do some mistakes and learn from them, that's what everyone do.It's not because she is an actress and very famous that she can't act like a normal girl who is having fun. Anyway this interview was nice,it's interesting to see how David Letterman "forces" her in a way to say things that people don't already know about her.
Well, she never played games witht his. She said already that she was drinking alcohol. It was easy to guess that she had already been drunk. She also said that she tried her first cigarette. It's just the normal stuff that most of people experience when they're teen. It's true that the reaction of some people is funny :p

young people get drunk all teh time in the us. they dont care about the law being 21 to legally drink.

he should do all her interviews then. I'd like her to be more truthful in the future. Forgive me, but she tends to play games with stuff like this.
