Ooh, filming the courtroom scene where Alexis gets sentenced. We'll probably get to see Emma do a crying/breakdown scene in the movie. I'd love to see her acting there.
I hope if she does one, its better than the ones in Ballet Shoes. She was alright, she just went a little overboard.
@anon: Eh, she was young working with no professional acting training. She did what she could. (You're talking about her expressions going overboard, right?)
At least she's gotten loads better, right? She's gotten herself some acting lessons, we saw her take drama classes, etc.... She was brilliant in DH 1&2, but before that-P-U.
I think her character in Ballet Shoes was supposed to be over the top because the "fame" and attention got to her head so she became a little bit of diva. I think her acting has improved tremendously throughout the HP films and really look forward to seeing what she is capable of in the future.
Emma is was good in HP, grew in Ballet Shoes, (directing wasn't that keen), she was fascinating ind A Week with Marilyn (although a smal, role, but she held the water's attention), supposedly she was good in Perks, but I think Emma has much to offer her audience in a multi-tasked way. She is taking it slow and realistically with her age and experience. Isn't she studying History and Drama at Brown and did an English Literature year at Oxford. So she has had professional acting lessons, coupled with subjects which are the themes of story. I think she has a bright future. a fan

That's an expression I saw several times during the HP saga.

I'd love to see her in this movie. She's miles away from Hermione in this one.
