I enjoyed the article. First bit is all things about Emma Watson we've heard before, I think, but it also reveals just why the interviews with her are so same-y -- Emmma's publicists are *fierce* about policing them, clearing questions in advance, making sure nothing too interesting gets asked. And then there's an acknowledgement, toward the end, that she's not much of an actress & her songs for "Beauty and the Beast" were significantly autotuned ... but that maybe that doesn't matter so much? She's a wonderful celebrity -- thoughtful, well-meaning -- and maybe acting isn't her true calling.
If she is only a wonderful celebrity and not a good actress, she should quit. This kind of remind of the opera singer that couldn't but insisted on being an opera singer. I think Meryl streep played that role. I really like Emma, and I think she is very talented, but she needs to train in acting if she is going to stay with it. It is ultimate pride for any actor to think they do not need training in their field. Few are as good as Johnny Depp and Leo Dicaprio and some others who sometimes barely have a high school diploma, but have a fierce instinct for acting. Emma is not one of them. Heromine was great, but ,,,,
It is a matter of self-respect. Emma is such a talented and intelligent person, I am sure she has other options. Her net worth is 70 million, she does not need to exist as a bad actress just to make a few bucks. If she truly wants to be part of the film industry, there are other options like being a producer, director and screenwriter. I think though her lack of true acting skills is catching up with her. She needs to train. I felt embarassed of the "acknowledgement toward the end that she is not much of an actress and her songs for Beauty and the Beast were significantly autotuned." I gathered that came from the mag; I thought that was a tough statement. lou
Yep, I think she is calling it quits in the acting business. She has enough bucks to do whatever she wants for the rest of her life- even make her own movie.
Eden did you read the article? I can't believe that they put that stuff in there. Did anyone read the article. It is like nice and sweet to the face, but when the interviewee is gone, show the fangs.

Meh, so as long as she can keep making money doing movies it wont matter how good or bad she is.
